1990-1995 KZN130 1KZ-TE Hilux Surf 3" PPD Exhaust
Specifications:
1994 Hilux Surf KZN130 SSR-X 3.0 Limited, 4wd, Manual, 1KZ-TE
Three different start scenarios;
Standard warm start, Standard cold start, and another cold start on a very chilly day.
Fitment:
Zero issues whatsoever, there is some buzz about manual trans needing extra modification, but that is not true.
Improvements:
Lower EGT, Turbo spools much sooner, noticeably more power, likely more MPG. Not too loud at all, nice spool sound. Very very very satisfied.
Exhaust:
PPD 3" KZN130 3" Stainless Steel Exhaust
HybridStreet4x4 to the USA for $1,300 NZD or about $900 USD shipped. Only company I could find to DHL it to the states.

Sound clip of a riffraff muffler delete pipe on stock 3.5” exhaust on a warm 2000 7.3 superduty truck no engine or turbo mods. Came up to around 2700 rpm Sounds great while driving! Not too loud and only cost me around $70 in total with only a sawzall and a socket set.
Did you have to do any mods to the exhaust to fit it or did it fit on straight away
What all did you change to make it sound like this?
dude i wanna do this but i just replaced my turbo and it was such a pain in my ass I do not wanna have to take that thing back out to fit an exhaust
What wheels are those
did you lose low-end torque off the line after doing this?
Loosing any torque in a turbocharged engine makes no sense

this is the muffler included kit correct?
There’s an in line, straight through muffler. The truck sounds about as loud as you’d want for daily use.
Sounds good. I just bought a kzn130 so looking to get a couple of mods to keep the EGTs in check, cheers
Are those wheels Weld super singles? If so how did you get the factory center caps to work on them?
Not sure, I don't have the truck anymore.

There is a small, straight through "muffler"

No catalytic converter from the factory.

@@nathanbouchard5911 it comes stock with a catalytic converter and a big muffler

This model of powerstroke did not come with anything other than the muffler.
