Not sure if this may be a new thing, but you can receive DLA if it is your first PCS. The service member just needs to have dependents move with them. It is in the current JTR.

Hi my husband graduates soon from AIT, I was wondering what did you mean as long as it’s not your first pcs,? Does that mean your first move, your not entitled to DLA.

I've heard of programs that will help military spouses skill up maybe through a fellowship. When stationed at Fort Rucker we had to create something that would move with us like an online shop. Great video but a lot has changed and / or has been updated. 1. You can order food on base through POSTMATES. 2. ALDIs, scooter coffee drive thru and a new subway was just recently built this year (2024). Just outside of the gate. 3. Rolla (approx 30 mins away) has a kids adventure spot (The Zone) that many can visit! 4. Menards, TJMaxx, pet smart in Rolla as well.

Are you still at Fort Leonard Wood. I will be stationed there after my officer training. Not sure if I will like it. You are optimistic. I live in a big city as well in Cali so I think it will be a huge change.

I’m confused. We were told the military would pay to ship one vehicle, and pay for gas on the other vehicle, and we only get 3 travel days. I don’t know how everything completely works due to lack of information. Although I know enough due to working in on base lodging and seeing a lot of guests PCSing
