Yes, he has to lead other officers under him, but because he’s nowhere near having ANY kind of leadership skills, he’s grossly inapt at doing his job. His two major errors (aside from NOT listening which even a child could see he doesn’t listen), he didn’t HEAR the words “I don’t want to file a complaint”. The LT gives his babble about “legal advice” and then says again “go file a complaint”. NO leader wants complaints filed, they want RESOLUTION! He’s NOT a leader. Then he makes the statement (more than once) “I don’t want to go back and forth”… a conversation IS back and forth by its very nature, but a none leader sees EVERY “back and forth” as an argument! Law enforcement is 99% BAD LEADERSHIP!!
