None of the majors put out new content without statistics to back them bc of their shareholders wanting financial predictability... where does he think those numbers come from? The majors that keep making the same movies over and over with different packing? no... it comes from companies like Netflix taking a chance on new material... sometimes winning and sometimes losing. The majors then remake that original content on a higher budget. If there was no incubator company... a platform willing to take chances... the Hollywood money train would've dried up long ago.
