Drew & Jr fall ride to Pleasant Hill lake park on my 2015 Yamaha V-Star 950
I have vacation property that at times there can be a foot of snow at a time. Do you think I would have any problems plowing that much?
I have been plowing with pickup trucks, front end loaders, and quads for some 20 years plus. Love watching someone who knows not how to plow efficiently. Keep up the good work. Most important, have fun, you'll figure it out at some point.
Thank you for no music. I love hearing the sound of that wheeler. ❤
Why are you splitting that already split wood? How much kindling do you need?
This was done for my 83yr old dad he has troubles with handling the larger stuff I use.
Glacier plow, best out there!
Would it not be more efficient if You started in the middle of the driveway with an angled blade, then wing the snow from there to the edge on both sides. That way you eliminate the constant cleanup of the spill over and going over the same ground many times. Just sayin'. Still, I did enjoy the video and that Polaris does seem to be quite capable. Have a great day and Thanks for your video. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
Nice, does it have enough power? How is the suspension? How is the realibilty? Which parts would you upgrade? Is it much lighter than a 1000ccm? Alsow can u compare it to other brands Canam, cfmoto?
PVC pipe along bottom work well on grass an gravel
Good video 👍
The Polaris make a great plow
Yessir it has held up well so far.
Great video no music. I used my Attic cat 650 this year for plowing love it makes snow removal more fun. Who don't want to be on their Atv .
did you have to install anything underneath the polaris for the plow to latch on just wondering because I have the same four wheeler
For the install it was Three pieces the plow, pivot, and small frame. They all go together as one piece then you just position it under the front of the 4Wheeler hook up the mount and winch. once you put pressure on the winch it kinda snaps to the under frame of the Sportsman 570. Theres a release handle to drop it back off and remove.
@@ohiofirewood Ok thank you
88 subscribers, I'll be 89. Good show
Thanks for the sub I need to get busy and create some new content :)
Will be Building this same splitter once it arrives...at the moment.... glad to see year old machines going strong still.
Its been very reliable and the build wasn't too bad to assemble. Only thing I have found is it must be kept level or it will spit Hydraulic oil from the vent.
@@ohiofirewood right on, yeah I got it assembled just fine! Was a breeze with the video. Thanks for the tip
Tractor can't go 50mph+ when you aren't plowing like an ATV can
Thanks for sharing the pics and info. Great Family project!!!
Thx for the video. Hey, the ground on my long rural driveway is bumpy and not very even from side to side. Does it follow the terrain well, or would it need lifting up a but before plowing?
I have the skids lifted up a bit on the bottom of the plow and use the winch to lift it up as I plow if I see it start to dig in too much to the gravel overall that works well.
Have you considered adding a PVC pipe to the bottom of your plow? Would definitely save your gravel
I had not but sounds like a good idea to try thank you.
I like it when you can here the equipment working (no music). I gives someone an idea how hard the equipment has to work to do the job. I wish more people would leave the music off.
I like it even better when you can hear it.
Nice cleaning the driveway there. Your Polaris is doing a good job.
☺️ Promo-SM!!
What size blade is on the 570 SP?
I believe it’s a 60” but will have to check to be sure.
@@ohiofirewood I have the same model and color 570 SP. I was thinking a 52” blade but I don’t really know if I would use it because I have a 1025r.
I have a 2023 450 HO with a 60” plow
Fantastic job my friend Thanks for sharing 🤝 Keep up the good work 🤝🤝 I’m your new supporter Greetings from 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Awesome I appriciate the positive support and the greetings from the north.
Nice machine, really moves the snow ❄️👍👏
It sure beats trying to move it with a shovel lol and it gives me a reason to play with the quad👍🏻
Makes me want to get out there and cut some wood!
That’s awesome I feel the same when I watch others firewood 🪵 videos glad to pass on the bug to others 🪵🪓🔥
Outstanding wood crew 🪵🪓👍👏
With the weather changing to these single digits I sure was glad to have the crew getting things ready to burn.
Great saws 🤜🏼⛓🪚🤛🏼 👍👏
Thank you
Great job 👍👏
On board 🪵🪓🔥👍👏
Welcome aboard friend hope you enjoy the content as we continue to figure this stuff out.
Hi Andy. That Polaris Sportman does a fine job! Stay warm my friend! WST
Howdy Mike, its fun to run it around and does a pretty good job of making the drive usable again. Take care!
I have never bothered to clear my driveway of snow.. I did for a friend a few years ago with a shovel..
You don't clear snow off your driveway? How do you park your car? Over here in Canada when we get a foot or two of snow you wouldn't even be able to move your car
@Miniaci : I am in Western Washington, and when we get snow, it's maybe 2 inches at a time and goes away after a few days..
I really like the ATV , I want a tractor also but I just can't justify one but I could an ATV . The Polaris is a nice looking one and I like the Manuel reverse shift .
I picked this one up back in late 2019 and it has been a workhorse with the winch on it. Then last year I added the Glacier plow and so far it has performed well. I have been looking at the RK25 tractors lately.
The dreaded white stuff. We got our first S.Illinois snowfall of about 3 inches out of that storm. I have used a four wheeler plow for snow removal for years and it’s surprising how well they do!! Thanks for sharing👍🏻👍🏻
Wasn't sure if it would be of much interest but wanted to keep the content flowing. We bucked up some wood Saturday but didn't do any filming. Thats the load you can see on the trailer.
Very satisfying vid and job well done. Thanks for the share.
Funny. The kid with bare hands is moving 3x the wood more than the gloved one.
Yes he was in rapid mode for sure while the other one was slacking a bit today :)
Wood chuckin baby! We were doing the same exercise earlier🤣
Had to get those trailers empty so we can fill em up again.
Good work guys!! Looks like a good load of firewood 👍🏻
Great video and again a nice family effort. One or two surprises when the tough wood decided to explode. I can live with the music and it is good when you give a commentary explaining some critical points.
Appreciate the input I was indecisive on the music but decided to go with it and see if anyone found it annoying vs just hearing the splitter humm along. Thanks for stopping by
Really great to see a family all pulling together. Looks like the Boys were enjoying themselves. Good video. Looking forward to many more. Also pleasing to see what could have rotted away being put to good use. That is both the tree and the trailer well done.
Thank you for stopping by and giving us a look along with some nice words. That trailer still surprises me that it turned out that well lol.
Hi Andy, where do you hail from? Just curious on the state. The rugged made is a great splitter. That's how I found Scheib is when I was researching them. Great splitting session! WST
I am from north central Ohio. Same here he had me at Whooo! and Miller Lite lol along with the custom upgrades.
I guess I should have watched this video first! Nice to meet you Andy, Junior and Jackson! I like names and I store them all in my squirrel brain. They don't call me the Husky Squirrel for nothing! Enjoy the time. When I started 11 months ago I just wanted to have fun. Now I'm having a lot of fun. You're doing great! WST
Haha Mike just watched your new video a little spooky watching a squirrel run a saw in the darkness but that was some dark black in 1080p. Maybe you should borrow Shifty's battery pack to run your lights :)
@@ohiofirewood The crazy part is we thought we would have to edit it to be really black, but it was late enough at night, shutting the tractor lights off was all we needed. The whole video was a gag and boy was it fun!
Boom!!! Nice fell job! 261 is a good all around saw and that's a Husqvarna guy saying that! WST
Again, great trailer restoration. That trailer paid for itself before it left the garage. Mad respect for taking the initiative! WST
For sure it was worth every penny and will now see several more years of use. Next up is an old Alice Chalmers WD40 since new ones are a bit out of reach yet.
Hi Guys! Finally got around to some Deadwood Productions. I have a list of new channels to check out and you were next! Todd Lacy is going to be all over this video. He sleeps with his 400c 🤣 Great work on the trailer! I love projects like that. If I don't have to buy new, I prefer the sweat equity payment! Great first video and I will be checking out more of them. Take care! WST
Thanks for checking us out the 400c is beast after watching Todd’s video I kinda wanna pick up a larger bar for it now.
You guys be careful lifting those rounds so you don't hurt your back. Rolling them to the trailer then lifting or flipping them in is the easiest way. 😜 Watch this video for the best way I have found to load. "How to Cut & Load Big Firewood" It isn't my video but is a great example. I have loaded big three-foot rounds of fir using the flip up method. Keep up the good work.
That rugged made is a very nice splitter . If I ever upgrade from my Countyline , that’s the one I want . You men were getting the job done !!! Great team work .
Keep an eye on the $$ when you’re ready to upgrade they jumped up quite a lot in just the last year hopefully they’ll go back down.
Hitting the ground running with content.. Thats good.. Keep going..😁👍
Thanks for the support 1 week down and so far all positive!
I was just looking at a new 261c! Probably be my next saw👍🏻👍🏻
It’s the best all around saw I’ve used light and nimble but also super fast chain speed. For the larger stuff I go to the 400c
@@ohiofirewood I had a 290 and sold it and bought a 400c back in September 21 and now I want to pair it with the 261
Great splitting action! Nice splitter. Think it is the same splitter Scheib has. He put a stop on there if you cut all same length, that would help on cycle time. Check out his videos on his upgrades he did. Looking forward to more videos!
It is mine has the stop as well so you don’t have to wait the whole 30” cycle that’s actually how I found Scheibs channel was his mods. The wedge cylinder would be nice to do in the future. Thanks for checking the channel out 👍🏻
Very nice! Glad you found his channel! Great guy with a lot of humor!
If we all thought wood splitting videos were punnishment we would not be here to watch you..🤣🤣👍 Keep on cutting and splitting. 😁👍
Good point…next I gotta find someone to stack all this wood we split the last week so I can get my trailers back.
Great videos, I like the longer videos, just my preference. Keep up the good work
Thanks Brian for the input glad you enjoyed todays video 👍🏻
