MAGNETAR, distortion synthesizer
Magnetar is a dual distortion synthesizer featuring distortion, fuzz (connected in series), equalization/feedback, delay, and LFO. However, the capabilities of this synth go far beyond a simple sound processor. It can generate incredible sounds without any input, simply by tweaking the controls to create unpredictable sounds, perfect for drone, ambient, noise, and more. You can see it in action in the video. It's highly recommended to read the manual carefully, as the synth is very sensitive to input level changes. The level pots not only control the levels but also produce unique textures and intriguing sound variations.

This is exquisite. I retired about 5 years ago, and I am learning, exploring, and thinking right now, but soon I will build my first Atari Punk Console. When I get comfortable with that, I am going to start adding multiple 555 Oscillators. When I get comfortable building that set up, I am planning on figuring out how to add delays in series. To that I want to add chorus filter and reverb with wet/ dry on both. That would then give me one line. Then I will build 5 or 10 lines in parallel with a mixer. Thank you for helping me build a dream, my own Oscillator Drone Synthesizer thingy.

Thank you for your interest. This basic model no, but CV can be added in a bigger enclosure or if mounted as an Eurorack module. The Astrogorus (other strange machine!) has that CV in the extended version. Please, contact us if you have any question. We love to talk about synths!
