saving tp early is good unless you die and have a huge wave crashing on tower.. Top is about exp and resources since you will probably be the highest level in the game at all parts of the game. TP is good later for flanks. at 4:02 saving tp is GREAT! generally speaking only tp when after a death that will result in you losing a ton of exp. later in the game tp's for karthus are awkward cus since your not a traditional top laner its less effective than a tank flanking wiht reliable cc. However the MS you get from TP is INSANE ON KARTHUS! Only tp flank when its favorable I.E 3v3 you tp behind 4v3 fight even better if nashor is up! but generally speaking save tps that are 100% winnable fights like man advantage or objective control tp. besides that this pick is very fun into riven camille, renek as its a skill match up. Think of this pick like a cassio top or ryze top get the 16 ASAP clear waves. Side Lane on karthus without flash is hard however playing netural again will lead to favorable tps later on. My best bet is if your behind as top lane karthus farm on tower deny enemies t2 gold and scale to help win teamfights.

as a former karthus top otp. you need to build cs leads for the pick to be super effective. its really good in the sense you if your 10/8 cs per min you will hit 16 around the 25 min mark. aim against tanks to contest every cs they go for same with melee. I personally ban nasus everygame. legit unplayable when they get to 200 stacks.

they made first strike yet another rune for some poke mages... I loved it on ap nunu it could make over 200 gold from one fully loaded ultimate from bush or from w burst. Now its basically useless for assasins or any other champs that dont initiate combat too often. It used to be a really fun rune
