1967 Fender Super Reverb with Custom Shop Strat.
That’s a hot sound.
That’s a great word to describe its sound!!! Thx!
Do you prefer the small or large headstock? I have a few strats, one being an 80’s Japan paisley with the large headstock. It puts a smile on my face every time I pick it up or look at it from across the room.
I bet the paisley looks cool. Those MIJ guitars from the 80s are awesome. I think both headstock profiles look great. I love the old style headstock and the spaghetti logo it is a classic look. I have a 90s American standard It’s pretty sweet I put the Cory Wong Duncans in there. I also have a big headstock’73 Tele Deluxe with the CBS strat neck. It is cool looking and has that aged patina on the neck finish. Cheers
Foe some reason i can smell that Amp through my phone !! Lol😜....Nice rig for real though 👍
lol thanks!
So smooth 😮 it's a lovely tone
It really is! Thanks!
Awesome 👍
Gran fascino🤩
Great black panel tone there!May I ask what speakers are in the Twin?
Thanks it’s a great amp. It has Jensen speakers. Best to you www.garysguitars.com/catalog/1964-fender-twin-reverb
Sweet!!! 👍👍
Thanks dude. Love this amp. It’s the quintessential Fender sound
I stand corrected. The large headstock was always associated with the 70’s strat. I assumed instead of confirming. Thanks for your reply. Cheers!
You are welcome. Cheers and best to you.
I thought the same for a long time. Most people refer to it as the 70s headstock but cbs bought fender in 65 and rolled out the redesigned headstock the next year.
That’s one clean strat for its years
Right on! Gary gets some super clean vintage gear
@@Benjacaster1967 with the large headstock? I don’t think so.
@@spiderman0863that’s the big stock headstock era. Neck dates to 1967.
Фонит и звук гавно❤
Sweet and boxy, a blues knife love it!
Many thanks for that nicely said comment!
Hella sick!! Great playing and great guitar! Side note, I think I had this exact shoes last year lol.
Thanks for the props and I really like the J-35 too. That’s funny on the shoes. That always cracks me up.
@@Benjacaster Yeah anytime! You deserve it! lol, they are great shoes, wore them everyday
Sick dude
Thanks bro that’s kind
Avante...,👊🏾
Great tones and playing dude.
Thanks for the kind words brother 😊
Sounds sweet
Thanks! You have a great rest of your day!
Awesome, I like your style of play.
Thanks kindly :)
Sounds great!
Thanks! I am a fan of all old Fender amps. This one is such a great piece.
So nice 👍🏻
Thanks. It’s such a beautiful sounding amp. 😊
Turn that thing up a little bit.
These Jimi Strats are just gorgeous, dig that big head stock!.
wow
You might have to hand that over my guy
Sweet dreams
I love every part of this, from the beautiful sunburst strat to the tweed vibrolux, but isn't the tone a bit too punchy/springy? Why is that? Just wondering.
Hi thanks. It’s got a Celestion Gold label in there. The Jensen was really blown out. Have a good weekend.
@@Benjacaster Thanks for responding! You have a good weekend as well.
awesome
sold?
Yes. This is sold. We have an L-00 out for a neck reset. You can leave contact info to the email garysguitars2b@gmail.com
The guitar is for sale at Gary’s Classic Guitars LLC. I like the pickups I think I like it with the tone rolled back though
Do you still play it, and are you happy with the approach of johnny smith tone?
Where can I pick one up? (And how much?)👍
Hi. Check out Gary’s Classic Guitars there are earlier ones from the mid 50s with DeArmond pickups. They sound great too. Best to you.
for sale?
@@jimmychen9779 hi. Sorry these have sold. Please take a look a garysguitars.com We usually stock guitars like that. Thx!
It really is a gorgeous tonality
Super nice sound 😊
What is a guitar like that worth? I have a 1929 0-28H and an I-15, both KOA. There does not seem to be a many prior sales on Reverb or those kind of sites. What is your opinion?
Hi Bill. Gary might be interested if they are for sale. Email vguitars@gmail.com
Got one……original owner!
Sweet I think they are just right! Thats awesome you have kept it all these years 😊
@@Benjacaster ……also original owner of 76 Fender twin reverb, both amps served me well on stage and studio….thanks for comment!
Great, THICK sound! I have a '62 I run through a 1X12 in a Mesa cab and it sounds FABULOUS!
I bet that sounds awesome!
I am still in awe of the sounds I get out of that amp and cab, and I've been playing 62+ years!@@Benjacaster
I had the very same guitar. 😢
a great amp.
Nice touch! Great LG 2!
Lg-2 are wonderful guitars. Many thanks 😊
Have my late Father's 65. Played for years. Never out of tune
That’s a wonderful guitar and I am sure it’s a great way to honor your father’s memory. My best to you and yours.
Keep up the good spirit and urge to explore. ^
That’s a wonderful comment. My best to you :)
Such a beautiful guitar. Nice tones/playing you get from it.
Thank you so much. That’s a dream guitar. I hope who ever owns it now and the future really plays that beauty. Kind regards
I now have this 1937 J-35 and I love it! It is one of my main studio guitars now. Thanks to Gary's Classic Guitars for this awesome vintage Gibson, and for the nice video too! Cheers! Patrick
Thanks Patrick. I would love to hear some recordings of you playing this. It is a great sounding J-35. Have fun with it. Cheers :) Ben
cool
Terrific guitars you have within reach. Can I ask : What exactly are your general thoughts on the plastic bridge ? Hi
Oh thanks. It’s fun to play these nice guitars. I don’t notice any tonal differences with the plastic bridges. They do get brittle and get hairlines. It was not the greatest design idea but again I hear no difference sound wise even when compared to a guitar with a wooden bridge conversion.
Aha, , , interessantos - I find it huge ! , , , and actually really dig my 1963 hollow plast bridge ceramic saddled cherry J-45. You might be in a camp of your own there. All fine.
@@Ziraffe2 cool those are amazing guitars! Sounds like yours is an excellent instrument.
I like the mahogany one better. I wonder what the maple one would sound like with the ceramic saddle.
Hi. Maybe a little brighter. I like the Mahogany better too. 😊
I hear the Stones from this. Sounds good.
Yes! I love the Stones :)
Very nice sounding Gibson!!!
Thank you I really love these they really have a great voice :)
