Snail Stamp Case Dispenser
Просмотров 757 месяцев назад
A walk through of building a paper craft artistamp dispenser in the shape of a snail. You can download the printouts from SELVAGE if you are a supporter. You need scissors, a craft knife, glue tape and some optional washi tape to complete the project. It should take about 12 minutes and is easy and fun.

Beautiful 😍
Wow! so amazing! I didn't even know you had a RUclips!!!
Wish I saw the notice. Also, I wish our postoffices in South Africa didn't crash and burn. I now have to send letters in packages. As a mail art, super fan, I mostly create them for myself. Thank you for still making these videos, have a great day
This is so beautiful and creative!
I see you have a furry helper - awesome!!!
And now for writing letters to fill all those wonderfully decorated envelopes. 📝
Love the studio 44, also love all your MTG books, cards and such! Long live odyssey !
I appreciate the realness of the sinkful of dishes. 😅
No staged videos here!
I’m obsessed with shiny paper this season. 100% going to make some of these stars. Thank you for the tutorial! 🌟
You are so welcome!
Darn it! I wanna know what it printed. Was it generic like a cookie or more specific? And how did they program it? So many questions!
Well that answers my question of how you find the time to create such intricate covers. (Yes, I owe you another letter.)
Great to see all the variations come to life
Love looking through your stash! Impressed you have room in your washi drawers!!
Hey, thanks! 😁
Interesting, thank you! Where do you get your Coccoina glue sticks?
My favorite sources are Greer Chicago and The Paper Seahorse
@@donovanbeeson Thank you!
Beautiful 💞💞💞
Oh my gosh, I love this. I'm so glad I became a Patreon in time for Halloween:)
I am so glad to hear that, and truly, this is THE BEST OF TIMES.
Awesome. You look gorgeous. Love that lippie.
Thank you! Got to live it up since wearing lipstick with a mask doesn't really work out.
@@donovanbeeson : Exactly. I miss wearing 💄 as well.
Just here to peep the magic collection in the background 👀
Use proper fingers for each keys
I don't have the finger strength for touch typing on manuals. You do you, friend.
@@donovanbeeson Yes. KGTE Typewriting Lower passed. In two languages
You only know how to type with 2 fingers?
It takes more finger strength to type on a manual typewriter and I don't possess it.
Love watching your process!
Thanks for this algorithm
After watching this I have fallen in love with you
Thanks for the fun video. I now have a strong desire to buy some food in a box just to get the box-who cares about the food. (The sound on the video was very soft, even with the volume turned all the way up.)
Hey thanks! I have this same compulsion about packaging. As for the sound, I think I learned my lesson about the equalizer now. The lesson being, I shouldn't mess with it. Thanks for watching!
I just got an Imperial Good Companion 1 this Christmas and I love it! Just something about typewriters that I absolutely love.
Hey Donovan, Have you ever thought about using the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board? Absolutely wonderful tool.
I've just looked it up. I don't think it's for me, but it's a cool thing. I am all about less devices and less plastic if I can help it. Scissors and my fingers seem good enough for me.
@@donovanbeeson 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesome.
I am typing with my Underwood while I am watching this video
Love this! Where do you get your washi tape?
Thanks! All over really, but I really like the shop Cute Stuff From Japan. (It might be Cute Things From Japan.)
Love a good time lapse of your work! The cut out eggs are so cute with those scissors 😍
Thank you! I wanted to show that you don't need perforated paper to enjoy the downloads!
@@donovanbeeson I just fussy cut them normally, but might have to look into those scissors now 🤩
Adorable as always!
We ALL get ink all over our hands! 😆
I have this ink! So pretty!
That's a Pilot pen. Not a Pentel pen. Whoops.
why is this getting recommended to me after 8 years?
'Cause it's still awesome, even after 8 years.
Is he smashing it with his fingesr
The set up is pretty cool, I like the choice of background music as well it gives a nice vib to the video 👍👍
😍😍😍😍😍
Awesome 👌
I do this too, save paper (hoard might be a better description for my stash) and my family doesn't understand. But it's about the art potential! I love the mushroom paper the most. Those little ornament stamps are adorable too! And those Italian papers WOW. My mom started purging her holiday mail correspondence list a few years ago. If someone doesn't send her a card this year, they won't get a card next year. She does one of those embarrassing family update newsletters that I help her to print in return for not mentioning me too much in it, haha. Happy holidays, Donovan!
I 100% also ransacked the Amazon gift book and then tossed the rest!
Right?! What a weird thing, but hey, stickers!
Cool stash!! I hope your turkey was good 😂
I literally just finished another dinner of it!
A chill video, I liked it. Watching you carve a burning tree made me think about the environment (always on my mind!) and the climate crisis (also always on my mind!) and holiday trees.
I have that Good Mail Day book too! Love that book. I definitely did not know that we could just buy press sheets of stamps from the USPS web site! It's like they don't want us to, haha! But yeah, thanks so much for the information! WOW BONUS COMMENT CONTENT: My most-wanted press sheets in no particular order: American Gardens (2020) Save Vanishing Species (2011) Bioluminescent Life (2018) Dragons (2018, more fantasy stuff please, USPS!) Ellsworth Kelly (2019, so bold and underrated) What stamps speak to you as an artist? Would you do a video about that? I find myself drawn to ones about nature (plants! birds!), landscapes, abstract (Earthscapes (2012) was neat), and art (Ruth Asawa (2020), I still need to order a few sheets of these, they're gorgeous!) I really wish the USPS would allow artists, especially young artists, to create stamps. Anyway, I got carried away! Thanks for your time! I got here from your Instagram, if you're curious.
I like your enthusiasm! If you're looking for older stamps in press sheet form (like the dragons), try eBay!
Oh and as to stamps I like, well, it's easier to talk about the ones I don't. I love most stamps. And you can make your own stamps through Zazzle, but they always have those awful QR codes. The USPS does use artists for its stamps, for sure. This year's Lunar New Years stamp was by Camile Chew and the Love and Thank You stamps were by Anna Bond.
@@donovanbeeson You're right, I hadn't really thought about that. I've bought stamps through Zazzle before (it is a shame about the QR codes). The Lunar New Years' stamps are always amazing and I LOVE the rat ones (my lunar sign ♥) they are gorgeous. I guess what I meant was that I wanted to see people's cute original characters? Anna Bond's stamps are lovely for sure. Maybe I just want more more more and I need to relax. Anyway, thanks so much for your replies and I look forward to seeing more of your work both here and on Instagram. I hope someday I can become a Patron and support you properly!
so love this. thank you! shared with pdxcc !! woohoo! & yes. those thank you stamps : swooning!
Baby wipes? They’re pretty versatile. One of my colleagues in early Covid bought a bunch of baby wipes and used them with alcohol as Clorox wipes. They were a scarce item back Mar-June. I was lucky. A friend gave me a few giant boxes as a shower present. Anyhow, they’re not scarce now, and they’re handy. But unless you’re wiping your sticky hands on an animal, orphan, or widow, you’re not a monster :-)
My post office keeps a minimal supply of fun stuff on the back wall way behind the counter. So you can’t see what they are. Annoying...
Canada has a pretty solid way of shipping postage bought online. They just send in a cardboard mailer and they put the stamps in glassine envelopes so I'm never short of those! I always remembered being incredibly annoyed by the way USPS shipped postage.
Love love love them all! I like watching the time lapses much better 💛 can’t wait to get my first envelope
postal alchemy ! xo
