Town Hall Ward 3 Citizen Questions Answered
What does “start the zoning code update” refer to?
Great. Spending our tax dollars to benefit businesses on Main with CHRISTMAS lights. You can't even sweep our streets!!! 100% B.S.!
Exactly until Grandview agrees to help pay
It should be Tabled
No they wont
Its not loud enough
Congratulations Wanda!
Sorry to see that some of the members voted no.
I want to correct some misinformation I gave at the end of the meet. The Belton Chamber is hosting a political meet & greet this Thursday at 6:30pm and it will be held at Meet Me on Main.
Will be interested to check out the vision boards on Friday!
Your solution to the speeding on Cambridge is unacceptable with your ideas. Again, how did the 4th district councilman get his speed bump in area with no traffic? I strongly advice DO NOT increase the speed...if it cost millions is better than someone getting kill!
Oh, how come they did not sit in my driveway to check the speeds? I feel the those studies are bogus...because what I understand it the guy took those studies further up on East Cambridge...
When was that studied done and where did they clock these studies? I feel you ARE putting a bandaid on the a major issue which will cause more bleeding. I would like to know how the bradford lane councilman get those wasted speed bumps, where is NO traffic!
That's is is not answer or solution to reduce the speeding on Cambridge. Increasing the speed to 35 does not solve the issue. Why not consider the speed humps to reduce the speed? Increasing speed is not the answer!
The potential for another daycare is a huge win! Excited to hear more about that
Couldn't hear everyone that wasn't using a microphone
Disc golf is a much bigger sport than most realize
@57:57 the City Attorney drops a gem
I'm glad to see this was not posted as RUclips kids and I can comment on this video this week. I hope all future videos are treated the same.
Lol why does councilman White struggle with the microphone so much
It's a pretty informative meeting to watch the City Council in its deliberations. I hope more citizens are observing and taking note of Belton's progress...
Any updates on search for new city manager?
What public survey???? If you want me to use it provide the container and curb-side service. Otherwise, don't charge me for something I won't use. NO SINGLE SITE- LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE!
any updates here?
I’m like the first to see this idk
Many cars flowing though Belton with expired temporay license plates some over a year. I see them frequently, are police addressing this issue.?
are we talking about cub side recycling ever other week? will we have a extra cart for recyling provided ?
When will the autumn ridge developments be finished? Any deadline dates that could be given today so I can keep and eye on the new houses?
When are the traditions 4th plat expected to be finished by? How early can a buyer be involved to buy a house?
For those worried about "not enough housing" in the area, just look to the "industrial meadows" or "meadow creek phase 2" neighborhood. They put in the streets 18 months ago and still have yet to build a house. And that is literally just down the road from these new industrial buildings.
It’s sad to see that our city council won’t listen to and work with our city staff...
Hello baker
@1:15:51, the motion fails.
Please stop the insanity of mandates for mask wearing. The masks deprive us of oxygen. Long term deprivation of oxygen causes brain damage. Please stop this madness. If people want to wear mask so be it. If private businesses want to mandate it so bet it. But for cities (and counties) to FINE business for non compliance to the CDC is tyranny.
Pretty good Q&A. I think the city could help themselves by stating how much I&I in the sewer system has been reduced in the past 10 years.I don't recall how many drainage basins there are in Belton, but I remember one of those drainage basins have a 12:1 (maybe even higher) peak flow factor, meaning when it rains the flows increased 12x. I know the city has spent a lot of money making various repairs to reduce those peak flow factors. Maybe share how spending those dollars has helped reduce I&I, which equates to reducing the amount of rain water being unnecessarily treated at the wastewater plant. By that same token, the LBVSD needs some serious accountability. I wont share that info. again here, but key people have been informed. One last thing to note, all member cities of LBVSD are charged by metered flow amounts EXCEPT the City of Pleasant Hill; their I&I problem directly affects the LBVSD plant in Pleasant Hill which will help trigger the need for a plant expansion, which by the way, is in the beginning phases of planning now. The governing board approved this method, but why??? How much of an increase will LBVSD ask for next time??? When will we see their fees go down???
Whoa, Nellie!!! Someone needs to be asking some serious questions about the 12.5% increase to Little Blue. I know for a fact it isn't feasible to divert flow to the Belton plant; it's already been studied. I know things, but won't continue on a public forum; this needs to STOP! Who is holding them accountable??? Also, why are we getting a new Jet Vac truck already? Granted the one we have is a POS, but exactly how old is it? I know it's not that old, AND will this purchase get us back to cleaning the sanitary lines every three years, which was previously determined necessary to help aleviate overflows and backup claims?
