I just don't understand! How we the fans see it, but the coaches don't. Ruckert not helping with the blocking is unacceptable. Breece getting 4 touches, unacceptable. Not trying to use Mecole Hardman and his speed is unacceptable. 🤷‍♀️

You don't know what a sample size of relevance is , if you think Wilson is finished. He just needs confidence, which wasn't coming with the fanbase booing him in the first half. This is 2023 , where the margin between good and bad is razor thin. Wilson cannot be traded, and that is bc the sample size is too small to establish value. Darnold was marginal in that regard, having played most of 3 yrs. Lamar is overrated, which is exactly why they might trade him. LaFleur is going to the wolves for sure, and this season could have been much different if he was competent. THE DUDE is out of his league, and OC is almost as important as the QB position.

The coordinator is a rookie too. The plays he calls are not.

Interesting analysis and as usual coach W has real insights. I don't disagree that the coaching staff is not necessarily using Zach to his shirt with rolling out. That said, in the NFL you have to wonder how long a QB who is constantly outside the pocket can last. La Fleur definitely strikes me as being inflexible. On the other hand Zach's mechanics and fundamentals are off, which would affect him no matter what.

Wasn't a special team mistake. Wilson didn't move that offense. Because nobody feeling Wilson. Position players want out cause Wilson don't spread the ball around. Sad thing is white has one bad game he's back in the dog house. And Wilson been F##king up every game since his return. Wilson don't give his defense a rest. .And this is every week .No no accuracy he tried to force passes in tight spot he's a mess mechanics in all of everything

Amazing how Westhoff can see how Zach is being mishandled but none of the coaching staff can. If they wanted a pocket passer they should have drafted one.

My biggest problem is having too many voices in Zachs ear about QB play, with all due respect I think talking QB play to a guy that has 4 voices already directing and redirecting is a easy way to get snubbed

Westhoff?! Wow, loved this! This man is my favorite coach the Jets have EVER had! I really found it troubling they let him get out of the building. Even now... He should be there consulting and making sure things are being done to make the team a winner! What he's saying about Zach alone... LaFleur needs to take a fkn notepad and GO TAKE NOTES like Brees did, and help out a clearly struggling QB who's in over his head and forcing him to do things he is not good at. STUBBORN! At least Saleh benched him. But wow this was awesome and very insightful. Subbed

I love listening to Mike westhoff, what wisdom and modesty. You aren't going to get a better take than this. Basically he said we shouldn't just dump Zach try doing different things with him but yea start looking elsewhere else lol because he's not it.

c'mon Mike, even if MLF changes offensive for more roll outs you still have to play out of the pocket in the NFL. You can't just bootleg every pass. You can't hide a QB who can't pass out of a well which Zack can't do. His mechanics are broken and his brain scrambles to eggs under pressure. Waggles aren't going to change that.

Amazing coach. I couldn't agree more with those Tannebaum moves in 2011 and 2012. He absolutely destroyed that team. He let Breylon Edwards and Jerrich Cotchery walk. I think they both signed one year minimum deals with other teams. It was ridiculous. He also let Brad Smith go, signs 80 year old Derrick Mason, who lasted like a week and Plexico Burress fresh off a 3 year bid. Then for the hammer, he brings in the Tebow circus. So glad to hear this genius saw it the same way lol

Ask coach how he made out with hurricane IAN ? He lives right around me. My buddies that are captains talked with him at the bar at cabbage key they said he’s a great guy. He knew another QB the jets drafted stunk too. Lmao. They should let him pick the next one. Can’t do. Any worse

First impressions of someone are usually spot on. Listen to coach he has seen more and has forgotten more then we know. Wilson is an arrogant punk. This was the best thing that could happen to him. When they had Steve young stroking this kid and the others before being drafted he thought he was it. Been screaming since last year about getting this kid out of the pocket especially when they couldn’t pass block at times. Where are the running back screen passes to slow the pass rushes ? They could of drafted anyone. This kid ain’t special.
