MC77 Compressor - Demo

This is a short demo of the Purple Audio MC77 Compressor. The MC77 is the successor of the Purple Audio MC76. Both compressors are based off of the Urei 1176 and have been praised heavily for being an accurate, yet more modern reproduction of the classic piece of gear. All music for this video was recorded live at the Mauch Chunk opera house in Jim Thorpe, PA by the band "Leftover Salmon".
Today there are many clones that sound so much better for much less.
No good if you cannot see the plugin in action.

Comen on Purple Audio.. You are a serious company, how can it be that you only have 1 rewiew and of such poor quality? Send me 1 and I make 10 videos 1000 times better than this ... or do you want us to buy this eq just for the color??

Sounds great! It's nice that you guys used real life audio excerpts instead of clinical samples. Oh, I love how even the PCBs and heat shrink tubing are purple. Such attention to detail. I own the Plugin Alliance version, but wouldn't mind eventually getting my hands on a couple of these. Keep it up, guys! God bless!

I'm not really noticing a whole lot w vocals that a plug-in can't do.
