My name is Lindsey and for years, I have been collecting a number of exciting stories and experiences I thought I would share whether it be attending fan conventions, pop-up exhibits, events and really anything arts & entertainment related. I love pushing myself to try new things and in doing so, I have had some of the most memorable experiences of my life. I work in video production, so my video collections have a lot to do with my passion. The goal is to inspire people to go out and do the things that they love.
Fan Expo Chicago 2024 | Celebrities, Cosplay, Panels and More!!
Fan Expo Chicago was so much fun! Their lineup was stacked, there was a variety of activities, panels and vendors, and the staff were all super helpful.
Some context for the Scream section, Lee Waddell asked me to shoot a behind the scenes video for him. Out of respect for the other cast members I tried not to show them in that portion unless they were on stage. Well, except Jamie but I don't think he minds (Jamie if you do mind, let me know). haha It was a cool experience to see even a small glimpse into how a convention is run from a Talent POV.

The Frida Cinema - "Serial Mom" 30th Anniversary Screening

The Frida Cinema and Horror Buzz hosted the screening of the cult classic John Waters film, "Serial Mom". There was trivia, prizes, a film fest screening, snacks and a lot of laughs. It was fun being able to attend and shoot this event.

Some wholesomeness and behind the scenes of my convention filming adventures. My favorite thing in the world is when people talk film gear with me. That, or we have a shared interest that doesn't just revolve around their work as an actor. At the end of the day we're all people. It's nice to be reminded of that while at conventions. I also enjoy meeting new people whether they've seen my videos...

I felt bad seeing William Vail sitting there by himself. I think if I went to one of these conventions/expos that I would feel sorry for all the celebrities sitting there by themselves, it would take the fun out of it.

Wanted to ask if you remember the seller who was selling the VHS tapes? I went only for one day but I saw so many people posting on insta they got VHS tapes at the con 😭 I wanted to know if the seller might be at other cons
@@infinityguide8868 No I don't. I'll have to look through my footage because I know I shot them twice on 2 different days so I might've gotten their booth name in 1 of them.
@@infinityguide8868 After looking at the footage, I have the whole booth in it and nowhere can I find the name of the vendor on it. 😔 They had some great VHS's too.

When I asked Hal Williams to participate and give me a sound bite he was like, "Why not? I've got nothing else going on." 😂 He's a real one. I love it. Also, I almost had a Jennifer Coolidge moment with Bruce. I was like, he's still very handsome. I was smitten.

They had a little bit of everything in terms of guests. I grew up watching a lot of 80's and 90's movies, so they had some of those actors. They had current actors, former actors, and reality people. It was pretty diverse.
Corey Feldman hanging out with the Land of the Lost people was really cool to see. It looked like he was happy to be there, which was nice.
It was cute to see him revert back into being a kid getting his photo op in the raft. They were strict on filming him at his table but at the end of the night when the place cleared out, this happened and nobody cared if people were filming. Even Corey's people were filming him. It was a fun moment.

So dope you got to meet Melissa Barrera! and this might be the coolest con you've shown i think since there was so many cool cosplayers and so much cool stuff for sale from the vendors.
I love filmmaking and the behind the scenes stuff, so Monsterpalooza is a cool convention to go to because you can see live makeup fx demonstrations. I also like stopping by the Stan Winston booth who did the Jurassic Park animatronic dinosaurs.

Thanks, I wanted to use my cine lens which meant having to shoot handheld while manually focusing. Glad I brought the monitor. Hey, when staff tells you "no hugs" and then Matthew Lillard attacks you with one, you just gotta let it happen. 😂

I think it's cute how everyone knows everyone at conventions. They might not have ever been in movies together but they've developed friendships at the cons. It feels like Summer camp reuniting with old friends.
