Hello. Looking into Bible journaling next year and not sure what I want to do. These are are good ideas

Thank you for sharing this 😊. I have trouble memorizing scriptures too for different things and areas. A memory Bible. Great idea! I'm 53 going on 54 in January, I struggle with memory cause of my ADD. But i love reading and writing down verses. I'm just now learning my own way of verse mapping 😆 lol! I learn different from others, i have to make it work for my brain 🧠 lol! Thanks again for sharing 😀!

I'm dealing with unexpected grief and it completely caught me off guard. I don't have a Bible that I have set aside for a specific use. I have a couple of short books that I have had for years that have sections for different needs, like healing and praise, and grief. I am one of the many who are like you when it comes to memory issues. I don't chastise myself anymore because I realize that we are all wonderfully made by the hand of God and we are all gifted in different ways. I am in my 70s and my challenges have only increased, so count your blessings every day because things can get worse as you age. Kidding, sort of! You are blessed to have a study buddy. Praise God daily for that wonderful gift. :)

I too have a collection of blank notebooks. I'm going to choose one to make into a prayer journal. I also like the pockets you made. Thanks and many blessings

I call it anxiety under stress and my mind goes completely blank and no matter how many times I study it, I can't remember at all!!!! I'm 59 and still can't remember over 2 items don't tell me a 3rd it's gone and I won't be ordering that for you at the restaurant. Lol The teacher had to take recess away from me to memorize my 6,7,8,9 times tables. I don't know how I evidently did it because I still 😂 don't remember them. (I think she gave up. 😅) You are not alone. I think I've always had ADD. But I am a great reader. Words are my thing! So we win in some areas and then realize that we are not perfect in others. You made me smile. 😊

I have a tab for anxiety/peace of mind in my prayer Bible. I hope the study you’re doing with your cousin is helpful. You’re lucky to have a study buddy in your family ❤

Where did you purchase your cover for the binder? Do you know the name or model of that Franklin Covey? I need something like that to house my wirebound planner!

🤣 “don’t want may name on my underwear”. If I were to get my name on my planner it would be my first name or initial. Better to put a quote that is meaningful to you or maybe a University or football team

I appreciate so so much! Both books are AHHHH-mazing! The girls are going to LOVE them them! And yes, their personalities are so different and their journals reflect that that! I can’t wait to see them open them!

I LOVE this! And I actually think it would be a fabulous idea if you would come up with a signifier card for yourself to include in the journals you make. I would add it to this and to Erika’s.

Girl, I feel you on that I don’t want to be that busy lifestyle! A few years ago, I started getting into planners, and I watched all these videos of how to decorate them, and make it personalized, and such, and I was amazed at how people would fill in their days, with sometimes the most mundane of things and other people seem to be genuinely very busy with Their jobs, their hobbies, their children and it was like every line was full with something going on! And I didn’t have all of that going on and it felt like I wasn’t doing well enough and then I fell out of the planner lifestyle, but I am trying to get back into it however, I don’t want to be that busy where every line is filled in with something I have to do, I like my downtime! Haha

I agree, art and planning don’t easily mix. Maybe it can also be said that business and hobbies need some demarcation lines drawn. I’m keeping a little deco for my journal but that’s about it. I was so freaked out about the “lockdowns” last year that I sold my house and bought one on 10 acres so I could go outside for walks and gardening without observation by critics. I might not otherwise have done that. Good luck with finding the right property for you and your husband.

Thanks for sharing this Brenda. I find that I prefer to make the pages one at a time Or really four pages at a time as it is one sheet of paper folded in half. It helps me come up with ideas of what I want to do for the pages if I do one at a time. It is the little details that make the junk journal pop. The distress ink on the edges, adding color to pages, the stitches. I'm glad you are learning. I do hope you are having fun creating! Thanks so much for sharing your video and for tagging me. :)

Congrats on your first journal Renee! Junk journalling is very addictive - you have been warned! lol. Love tge Hershey tag and the m&m pocket! True junk journal style!! I'm a recycler so I get excited when I see real junk in a junk journal! Lol. Can't wait to see your next journal! 😊😊

That's ok Renee - you can still rescue your cover!! Just get some tissue paper or a white layer from a napkin and mod podge over the edges. Put the mod podge under and on top of the napkin. The image underneath the napkin will be visible once the glue dries. That's the great thing about junk journals - you can always fix something and it doesn't have to be perfect because it's a junk journal! 😊😆

I'm new to the JJJ group, and I'm about to start my first junk journal. So I appreciate that you're sharing tips you've learned along the way! I've viewed what seemed like a gazillion tutorials, but I like that you're honest enough to show "mistakes" which I suspect everyone makes. Yet you're still strong enough to keep at it! Fantastic!! And what a great idea - to have a "practice junk journal"!! Take care!

Your system looks great. I have multiples too.

I love your point of view but I do feel that many people focus too much on the name of OBJ. The purpose of OBJ is to find the core of your system and build from there. I stated in one of my videos that if the core of your system is 5 planners and 10 pens, then that's what it is. Many people do not include their journaling in their OBJ set up. I have my planner in one book as you do but my spiritual journaling has always been separate from my planner. I also have a home management binder with budget and finance info that is separate. Those are not "planners" to me so I don't even consider them when I consider the OBJ challenge.
