Joel is the cat's pajamas...will always root for that guy...PGA shrinking cards to 100 is terrible...the signature event structure is a joke...the tour needs to realize that not 1 player in the top 50 moves the ratings/attendance needle an inch...Tiger was a unicorn and the best foot forward for the tour is to focus on the underdogs and tell those stories...those are the guys we root for

That’s an important point about Jack seeking help with his chipping and pitching. That’s always been the knock on Jack over Tiger in that Tigers wedge and short game were so much better. But Jack simply never practiced it because he didn’t have to. He finally realised how good these new players ( Watson, Seve) were around the greens and worked really hard after seeing Phil Rogers. He practiced every day for 6 months and his short game ended up as good as anyone.

What a sharp, cheerful, mature young man. I’m a new fan.

Good point about Phil Rogers. He taught Jack his chipping and pitching techniques in early 1980, and Jack won the U.S. Open and PGA Championship that year, then he almost won the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach in '82.

Quick story about David. I have been a PGA Tour fan and have followed professional golf about as close as one can since the early 80's. I have attended many PGA Tour events over the years but LIV got my attention right away. My wife and I along with our beautiful sweet girl poochon pup attended LIV Greenbrier for all 3 days last year. We watched every shot of Brysons 61 on Saturday and followed him again starting on the first on Sunday and he was playing with David. This was Brysons 58 btw which obviously was really cool to see. Our pup had been getting alot of attention during the event and they were coming off the 6th green and we were waiting on the 7th tee box for them to hit their tee shots. I was holding our pup and David's caddy walked up and handed me David's ball and said this is for your pup. Titleist Pro V1 of course number 4 with two red dots on each side next to the number. I put it with my other golf memorabilia. I figured having a future major champions golf ball isn't half bad...

Puig is the real deal. In many ways because of the OWGR he is doing it the hard way...
