The New York State Agricultural Society was organized in 1832 to foster, promote and improve the New York State Food & Agriculture Industry through education, leadership development and recognition programs. New York is home to over 33,000 family farms producing some of the world's best food and beverages. Roughly 20% of state land - 7 million acres - is farmland.
