@@Xh1920 arfumi imai wouldnt be on aot , wit was in major financial struggle due to aot so they wouldn't be able to hire many freelancers , they outsourced cgi which was poor so it would be even worse , the director was busy with other projects so it would be rushed , quarantine , literally no way it would be better than part 1 , it would be the same or worse quality , part 1 was doomed to fail, neither wit or mappa were able to save it with 8 month schedule
Oh i love this so much. I dont know if some of the things i picked up are intentional (probably not but its still cool), but man, there is some hard going symbolism in this. 2 things. 1, the woman holding the baby never shows her armband. Considering all of the people around her wear one, its reasonable to assume that she is also an eldian, but we cant be sure. This could thematically imply that eldians and marleyans are the same at the end of the day, that there differences in blood means nothing in the face of death and war. This could also target the viewer who might have an indifference towards marleyans but feels sympathy for the locked up eldians in the internment zones. 2, the music. The lyrics of Vogel im Käfig were always from the perspective of Eren, Armin and Mikasa, singing about their values and what they strive to do by killing Titans. "No one should be stubbornly deprived of their life" "We fight for freedom, even if we have to sacrifice ourself" But then, in Season 4, they (or at least eren) become the exact opposite of their former virtues. The track has previously been played when Eren had to fight against the warriors or witnessed attrocities caused by the warriors, but now in this scenario, its completely flipped. Now the warriors and warrior candidates are the ones witnessing the absolute indiscriminate power of what is essentially a walking nuke. Now they are the ones seeing how our "heroes" mercilessly slaughter innocents for their goal. Someone who has only watched Season 4 would think that the "Island devils" are truly the bad guys. This irony, this switching the sides and showing the carnage they caused, is perfectly tied together by your animation and your choice of music. I'm not sure if you are aware, but the moment the lyrics would say "No one should be stubbornly deprived of their life" you show the victims of armin. Its perfectly timed. So, again, i'm not sure if this is intentional, and seeing how absolute niche ones knowledge must be to intentionally do something like this, i dont think it is, but its still very impressive and i love every bit of it. I hope you do more of something like this in the future! ^^
Dude, for real, the creative direction here is way more unique and creative than the original one. Mappa's director did a great job with the anime but I feel all the scenes you showed, how you showed, the angles and general direction are way better which explains why I genuinely feel like your version have more impact than the original. Awesome job dude! You should be hired in the professional area for real.
Yea the direction of this one is so much better, but the thing with the director is that he had to simplify some of the scenes so the animators can actually finish it while looking decent.
While this is good it kinda dramatizes what the manga originally wrote so for the people wondering why mappa didn’t do it like this it’s because it’s not needed and extra work for them
I love this more than official version. This one show more impact of what Armin did. The scene with the woman and baby is incredible. Amazing pacing and music fits perfectly. I really regret now that it isn't official anime version.
This is unreal. The direction is better than mappa's.
looking at it from the perspective of a mother holding a child tha whould be terrifieng
Too bad you'll never finish it
Bro was NOT satisfied and said, "Fine, I'll do it myself.."
The best revenge of all time!
Why did RUclips recommend me this masterpiece after 3 years!?
wyd in this situation
Mappa is going to find you and keep you locked in a room and force you to draw for them 😭
this channel be like >drops one banger of an animation >dissapears to never be seen again
If Wit made s4*
wouldnt have been good

@@Xh1920 with the situation wit was in back then it wouldve been the same quality or worse

This version is so faithful to the original that it could easily have been made by Wit Studios, impressive!
2 years late but yeah this one is better than the episode, dude I hope you get your dream animation job because you deserve it
You can actually see him feeling regret in armins eyes ,who ever made this animation huge W to you
amazing flow man
I like how it was in the show but this is way better
Gonna need that music 🔥🔥🔥🔥
POV war is already worse enough and you add some human transforming into a big ass titan that it will make a whole nuclear explosion happening
R.I.P cat
The godly amount of power in that explosion is unexplainable.
This is canon for me lol
Nice work
THE 3D AND 2D ARE SO WELL MADE Easing is perfect the effects and effort put in to the animation well made very impressive skill’s

The woman and the baby parallels the mother and baby that we saw die when Bertholdt broke the wall in the pilot. That was brilliant
u cant add this into an anime. this is more of an amv than something u have in an episode.
