I agree that the collaboration of primary institutions, not just the politicians, is crucial to understand human conditions relative in drafting policies. Thank you, Dr. Rey for this discourse. It is truly needed that government should be responsive and anticipatory, and that policies should be reviewed based on its content, net balance, and human right implications. Furthermore, the accumulation of capitals is imperative on the part of the technocrat/scholar if she/he wishes to change the system.

Thank you Doc Rey for sharing us your knowledge. This was very informative and eye opener mostly to us (me) as a future policy maker and currently government employee. I’ve learned the relationship of power in what we called policy making and how legislators and politicians and the community gives a domino effect on each other. As a government employee, we have this oath that we are here to serve and protect our people. And whatever policy or laws we are making must always be for the good of all the citizens and its nation. I hope that someday, as a future policy maker, I can make a policy that both government and its citizens will give fair benefit for both ends.
