You can take Example 2 a step further: y = sqrt(x^2 + 2x + 1) factors to y = sqrt((x + 1)^2) so y = x + 1

How do you do this with circles?
I cant really explain it in text, but area is the radius times pi (3.14). If you don't know the radius, look at the diameter and divide it by two to get your radius. Heres the fomulas Radius: Diameter/2 Diameter: Radius*radius Circumference: Diameter*Pi(3.14) Area: Radius * radius * Pi(3.14) or simply Radius^2 *Pi(3.14)
look up formulas for radius or circumference.
