This once beautiful town with it's rich historical heritage is left to almost dilapidated conditions by a corrupt state government which prioritize in enriching greedy individuals. The historical buildings and structures are almost in ruins. Hopefully, with the new government wresting powers since independence, Taiping may see it's glory days again.
