Intex E95 Error Code FIXED
In this video I show you how to properly fix thermal sensors on the inlet and outlet tubes of an Intex inflatable pure spa hot tub. Parts ordered via Thermomart.com Part number NTC10K-S-M10 Fix cost - under $30

Curious if the new sensors read the same as the old ones. I am seeing the new read about 8 degrees difference. They are not long (which probably cases the leak) and curious if you are seeing a similar issue after the repair. I’m guessing sensor resistance is different and is not aligned with the mother board. Thanks
What is the E96 error code? Is it the same as the E95 ?
Thank you so much for this video. It was very easy and fixed my error! I replaced both because didn’t know which one. Both ended up being corroded. For anyone wondering, I wired the white from the new sensor to the wire with the white writing on it. The black with the solid black one. It worked.
Did your tub give the correct temperature reading while the heating was turned off? Mine gives a good reading of around 30 degrees celsius but as soon as turn on the heating it'll throw me the E95 warning. Just took it all apart but I've got no replacement part yet.
To answer my own question for people who might have the same. Yes it did show the right temperature before, after changing the thermometer it worked again! Thanks for this vid!
how will i know the black/white should be reversed??? or did it matter at all ???
Thanks buddy! Your video was my savior. Well explained. Greetings from Germany!
do you also have a manual? and what are the connectors of the sensors called?
How will I know if I have the wires polarity backwards ?
Hey Adam I put a new pump on my spa because of the e90 code does you know about that code, when I turn the bubbles on its coming out of the outlet to hard and then the e90 code comes back on.
These spas are good quality products and pretty serviceable. The only problem.....you can't get replacement parts.
It can be a bit challenging. Just like anything new now days. But a lot of times you can find alternative parts and fixes to get around the manufacturers trying to get you to buy a whole unit 😎
@DIYDelahaye I have basically the same spa, mine is a little larger uses the same sensor, but connects differently. the wires for each sensor are not marked in any way, can I just cut the old sensors off and splice the new ones for each sensor ? Thanks
That’s what I would try. Sounds like the same style set up.
@@diydelahaye271 thank you I will give it a shot whenever the replacement sensors arrive
This was awesome brother! Thanks for taking the time to go thru the process... I feel a lot more comfortable fixing ours now!...
Thanks man! Best of luck 👍🏻
Great video. So I have the SB-H10 and it's not throwing a code, but the heater has stopped working. There is power and it does start to heat, then stops after a few minutes. Does this video address that? Thank you!
That is the problem I have. Cleaned these 2 sensors and it worked for a while. Think I will try replacing them now.
Hey, I have the same error codes on my spa. I have the sensors Intex Spa Hot Tub Jacuzzi Pool Water Temperature Screw type Sensor Probe M10 bought at wish. Now they have come in. But the sensors are smaller than the old ones. They are too small. What should I do now? Thank you
Not sure what to tell ya on that one. I don’t buy ANYTHING from Wish!
This fix worked thank you
I did exactly what you said and ordered what you said.. and the part came in but the threads were a big thread and mine are a fine thread.. so now i have to send them back and get ahold of the company and see if they'll exchange for the proper ones. ugh..
Not sure what the deal is with that? Maybe you have a newer or different style set up. Haven’t heard anyone else having that issue? Or maybe they sent the wrong ones??
I got the newer model. And right out of the box I’m getting e95 a couple of seconds after I turn on the heat. The temperature sensors are smaller push in sensors with o-rings. I ordered online off of Walmart.com. I called Intex they didn’t want to trouble shoot. They barely speak could English. And just ask for my receipt so they can send me a new pump. I don’t want to wait for a new unit. I’m gonna look for a way to rig it or maybe just take it back to Walmart.
I don’t blame ya there!! I would too
@@diydelahaye271 update. I found a break in the wire for One of the sensor and fixed it. I shouldn’t have had a broken wire, I shouldn’t have had to take apart a brand new unit to fix it. So I still am taking that new pump.
What part number did you get from Walmart? We have same type sensors.
Could I just jump both of those sensors out ?
I’m not sure on that as I never tried. I know on some electrical circuits you can bypass by splices wires together.....but I highly doubt it would work on a hot tub. There are probably safety features in place when dealing with water and electricity. Hence why the pump shuts down when it sees the temp sensors spike like that
You would have to put in a resistor that matches the thermistor
@@trendkilla254 good point. If you matched the same ohms that they are rated for that would probably work
@@diydelahaye271 I would highly recommend putting a timer on it somehow cause things are gonna get hot. (I am not responsible for anyone else's experiments :) )
There are so many errors possible in this machine. RUclips is filled with it.. I'm giving up on this pump if you're not technical
Great video! Love your no nonsense, get down to business approach! Thank you!
Hey Adam - I see someone below noted the part number you gave is incorrect. I searched on thermomart and got no results for the number. Do you have an update on the part number? Thank you.
Thank! Now I just have to get some of my other videos edited and uploaded!
I’m not sure on the other number. I think someone else may have found it on EBay??
Thermomart.com. Does have the part. Just changed the no
Good to know. Thanks for sharing. Can you add the updated PN in comments
What is the number
@@diydelahaye271 do you have a clear manual also have a sensor without a connector how do i attach it?
does any one know besides Thermomart.com where I can get the NTCK-S-M10 they show they domot have these Help
They may be sold out. When I looked, eBay did pull a link at that time, but I believe the seller listed was out of stock?? Did you try sending thermomart an email? Good luck
I have the same. I fixed my e90 code with a new impeller. Unfortunately I also have a problem with the air. I hit the bubbles button and it just clicks. I got into the system like you did here but it looked intimidating and I wasn’t even sure what to replace and how. Any ideas?
I’m not sure on that one? If there was a code check that first of not. Search the symptom- these things are very finicky. Someone has probably had the same problem. Good luck!
Bought another heater (used) for cheap...... got the error code, so bought the sensors, replaced them, and it worked.............. for a day. :( The minute I attached a filter back up, it happened again. My question is it seems there are other water sensors (on the white "cap' on top of the plastic unit we replaced the screw in sensors in. Have you checked to see if THOSE have anything to do about temperature control as well. thanks.
Gno_B_Neno I’m not sure bud. It has been taken down for winter. The only 2 I saw were up top....
You da man! Thanks for going through the actual fix......truly appreciated.
Cody Stewart you are welcome man! Tired of seeing vids that don’t quickly and easily walk people through stuff!
I had a NEW heater that had blown out / melted the heater (that IS the black stuff you see in the water BTW) - so, bough a older unit like the one in your video. I thought I could take the sensors from the new tub and work them into the old. NOPE. Different thread configuration. Additionally - the old heater uses brass sensors - the new heaters use plastic. Here is another thought. Since this sensor ONLY creates a circuit if/when the water gets too hot, could a person bypass these, connect the wires and basically override the sensor totally?
Gno_B_Neno I’m not sure to be honest, I also thought about trying to bypass it, but then figured this out. The worst you could do is try and let us know....
Up and running. So far so good! Great video.
Awesome video Adam. Thanks for sharing this quick fix! I found the part on Amazon for under $25.00 and had this error fixed in just a few days. I bought two and only needed to replace the one that was corroded. Thanks for the warning of not cross threading or overtighening, since it cross threaded on the first attempt. I used the round rubber gasket from the old one instead of teflon and that worked fine.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad this has helped some people!
Do you have the item number for Amazon. I couldn’t find.
Can you please tell me the item number for Amazon
@@carolfogarty1083 Brand: Thermomart - Spa Hot Tub Pool Pump Sensor Water Temperature Screw Flow Sensor Probe M10 - Part Number: 769675371500 - UNSPSC Code: 60120000 - UPC: 769675371500 - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VHLBJZ4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for the how to, I’ve been experiencing that the tub won’t heat past 96. And after hours of trying I get the error. I would suggest just putting a link to the parts in the description.
How long did you have your spa before this happened? We just had our 2 weeks
Vanessa Rivers. My sister owned it for about 2 years. Once I re set it up at my house it worked for about 3 months till that code came up
Your solution was spot on. Ordered the parts. Received in a few days. Easy install and back working for $12.50!!! Thanks so much.
That’s excellent!! Glad it worked out for you!
Purchase SP-290 impeller with shaft. Easy fix with 10 screws. Check Ebay
@@bfihn Do you have the same type of spa? Will you film it, or since you’ll already completed the fix at least open the casing to show us where it goes, what needs to be removed, etc..? TY
@DIY Delahaye I am having an issue finding the correct part please help us we are stupid. 😢
