For Sonic Frontiers 2, here's what I would love to see IF that's going to happen: As the player is Sonic, in a cutscene, Tails is minding his own business, and he starts to feel a little bit sad Why Because he starts to think about his Aunt Sally Acorn, and how she would always love on him(like a mother to her son) like always give him kisses, read him stories, teach him about martial arts or acrobatics or fencing, and just be there for him like a mother And he starts to think that IF she's out there somewhere or anywhere, he'll think of something to help himself to find her So, ALL of that is my opinion and I understand that y'all are going to think that she's "inappropriate" or "bad"for the community Why All because of her design Why not just stop the hate Stop it Just chill I'm not mad at anyone, just stop hating a character, just give it a chance to learn about her (If y'all have) Anyway that's all my opinion

ian flynn is something cherished for the sonic fandom, hell, i personally think that he's the best story teller, period, if anybody goes after me because of his sonic gens rewrite story, well heres my reply, its a minor thing compared to everything else, aside from that, he's goated and no ones gonna stop him from making banger stories, he's lived and learned from the past sonic games and is now undefeatable, if you really wanna get nasty with that, then let him show you what he's made of when he cooks a story

Ok this is definitely a disingenuous premise. I'm not just saying that just because Flynn is grossly overrated, but because of the concrete fact that what saved the Sonic franchise was definitively the first live action movie. Even if someone attempted to use Frontiers as a point instead, the story isn't the main reason why the game did well. It was the gameplay, new direction, and marketing, which Flynn had nothing to do with. These are a few reasons that supports the idea of him being overrated, which isn't the main point but a point nonetheless. (Like, I give credit where it's due, but Flynn has A LOT MORE assistance with the stories than people think. It's not just him, it's primarily a team effort.)

I like the references, it gives continuity to the story, like if every game really happened. Also, why people criticize his writing on generations? literally generations is made to be the definitive fan service game and it brings back a lot of old stages, obviously that this game will have a lot of recalls, references, etc.

It's crazy how so many people give Flynn flack for his writing, status as a genuine fan, and overuse of references, when most of the stuff before him in the Colors era was _abysmal garbage._ It sickened me to see Sonic stories and characters done so dirty. The Adventure and Dark era of stories weren't perfect, but at least the writers behind them actually tried. It's okay to criticise Flynn or not prefer his work, but some fans absolutely hate him and think he's the worst thing to happen to the franchise. I'm sorry, but I'm just not seeing it. I've always enjoyed Flynn's run of the Sonic Archie comics, and I know his work on IDW could be peak if Sega loosened some of those mandates (particularly with how Shadow's handled). Of course, Shadow Generations has shown what he can really do with Shadow's character when given complete control. It's incredible to see.

In my opinion, I think Ian is a hack as a writer. But at the very least, he’s taking the franchise in the right direction.
