how to point subdomain from godaddy to AWS route 53?
Hey @ashiqdey, you need to create public hosted zone in Route53 which will allocate you 4 nameservers for it from AWS side. You note those nameservers and open GoDaddy console, select your domain to manage and change the nameservers from godaddy to the custom ones you noted from AWS console.
@@mahendrapandey if I remove the old name servers my parent domain will no longer work? Or how will my main domain work as I don't have associated nameservers

One question: how is this different from route53 geolocation routing. I mean i can achieve the same thing using route53 geolocation routing, routing the user request to appropriate load balancer depending on the geography of the user request? Is that correct?

hi great video but is the difference btw GA vs S3 transfer accelerator?
GA is used for application hosted in multiple regions to be brought closer to requester/customer, whereas S3 transfer acceleration is a feature of S3 to speed up uploading of content to the bucket by using a quicker path.
Can we use the Domain name bought from Freenom right away after changing the Nameservers from AWS or will it take about 24hrs to work I'm asking this because I tried to create an Application load balancer and when I tried to request a ACN certificate it did not issue but showed Pending status for a very long time. This has something to do with the domain name right? Or am I getting it wrong please clarify this. And by the way you explained everything in the video was lit thank you for that and keep making videos 👍🏻 they are very informative.
Hi @feelepic367, It does take time when you make any kind of change in public hosted zone/dns, certificate verification via dns takes around 20 mins to be issued.
