Activity or Lack Thereof

Just a somewhat handy guy, I’m a mechanic by trade, and enjoy technology, tool, and tractors. My wife and I look after all our own home repairs and upkeep.

good video
My 2670 didn’t like cold starts unless I plugged it in for a bit before I started it
Hello Great video How do you get your ROPS to stay in that position. I also have a BX2380 just wondering if I'm missing something Thanks
I cut little blocks maybe 3/4 in thick and have them between pins and rops.
Ok thanks I will try that.
How much do you think your weight box weighs with concrete?
500ish in concrete in box. And I have filled tires also.
Cool vid! Can you go over the tire chains? When you get some snow can you talk about how effective they are?
I’m not sure they are necessary. With all the rear ballast and filled tires. If we ever get any more snow, maybe I take em off and try it. I have yet to make it spin a wheel this season.
I never add any throttle on cold start-don't think it needs any. Best to keep rpm's low and let engine warm up.
I set too high here, but I think they need to be off idle to aid cold start, that’s the first and possibly last cold start that little tractor will ever do. It’s a garage princess.
I agree. Just leave it at idle till its warmed up.
My BX23S had an overnight cold soak at -26°C. It certainly didn’t like starting. It took multiple cranking attempts, with a total of about 90 seconds of glow plug, before it caught, and coughed and wheezed for about a minute; finally starting to run smooth.
How long was it running when you moved it out of the shop 4 hrs earlier? I shut my GC subcompact off for 6 hours at +25°F and it still has heat inside the engine that was barely measurable on the outside of the engine.
I took it out in morning . Cleared drive for 30min? Then it sat outside 4-5 hours. I suspect it still has some residual heat, but still impressive how easy it started.
@@Activity-or-lack-of oh yeah absolitely it is impressive. Definitely had a little heat still in it though. Mine started noticeably better. I ran for about 1hr, sat for 6 hrs.
What kinda cutting edge do you have the snowpusher?
3/4 UHMW. On main pusher. And used plastic deck boards on back drag edge.
Thanks!
Welcome!
