SAIT Robot In 3 Days
Канада
Добавлен 14 дек 2016
Our event is modeled after the FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION challenge which is an exciting, educational opportunity for high school students around the world, but why do high school students get to have all the FUN?
SAIT Ri3D (Robot in 3 days) is the answer to all those academic and industry professionals who want to:
• Get involved in an intense, exciting robotics challenge
• Enjoy the company of other adults with similar interests
• Provide an educational resource for FIRST robotics teams internationally
• Build a significant electro-mechanical device in a short time frame.
The intent of RI3D is to show “how it’s done”… how to follow proper engineering design methodologies and manufacturing / programming skills to produce a competition ready robot!

That is painfully slow
Rocket Gamer Ya it was super slow... unfortunately we didn’t have any other gearboxes on hand for our build to make this faster... if we had it we would have likely used a two speed gear box so we could get both the high torque required for climbing and the speed for moving the boxes.
Maybe next year we will try to request a high speed gear box to have in our parts stockpile...
Good idea. I hope you guys do well
Rocket Gamer I hope you and your team do well this year our robot is for demo only unfortunately
SAIT Robot In 3 Days thanks you too
What inch wheels did you guys use
Rohan Bosworth, thanks for your question... for our robot we used the 4" tire and wheel (39055) and 4" Omni wheel (36466) both from the standard Tetrix FTC KOP
Thank you, you guys did a great job of designing that robot and building it.
Great Job guys/gals. Did you use only peices from the FTC the competition set?
Yes, With the exception of the 3D printed components and the temporary pull string (will be replaced with fishing line) all components are straight from the Tetrix FTC kit
Where did you get the tslot material from? The material for the lift?
The extrusion we used was from Bosch Rexroth however REV Robotics (www.revrobotics.com/ftc/structure/ ) sells the FTC Version if your in Canada you can contact Studica (www.studica.com/) to get REV product
what program did you use do to the video editing and what is the template name for the beginning credits?
This the first low goal Ri3D I have seen on youtube. Good job!
Now that our build finally completed we have come up with some modifications to the shooter that have it shooting fairly straight now... we had several challenges this year let us know what you liked/ didn't like about our robot... sorry for the late upload everyone...
