Thank you for commenting! It is a "stick technique", which is a traditional playing style for Middle-Finland. Although, I do use a guitar pick instead of a wooden stick. I see you play very similarly as well.

@@ardoraetatis7143 Oh yeah, I didn't make the connection. Do you know any books that actually teach tikkutyyli? I read Keski-Suomen Kantele by Kari Dahlblom a while back, but it's more about the history and development of the kantele, not how to learn to play it.

I have a couple sheet music books of music from Middle-Finland, and tikkytyyli works very well with them (Pelimannisävelmiä I and II - Soitteita Keski-Suomesta, published by Musiikki Fazer). I actually had a tour by Kari Dahlblom in his kantele museo some 10 years ago. I learned tikkutyyli from him at the time. He had such a vast knowledge of the history of kantele, and also talked about his time playing in a kantele orchestra in Soviet Union.

Unfortunately there is none as far as I know. I learnt the melody and chords by ear and arranged the part myself (as everything else, too).

Hi there! Thank you for the comment and subscription. = ) Unfortunately I cannot send the guitar tabs, since I write sheet music for myself by ear and I hardly ever read tabs. But secondly, and more importantly, it is a copyright violation to share unofficial transcriptions of music (a very minor violation, indeed, but I am rather strict about these things). Otherwise I'd be more than glad to share, since everyone should be able to play their favorite music in my opinion. Therefore I recommend to go buy the official sheet music from the Lindsey Stirling website store. They have guitar tabs for some songs. Or to go to ultimate-guitar website, where there are tabs of The Arena for both Tab Pro and Guitar Pro programs for free. Good luck and all the best! = )

RUclipsrs are rather forgiving, so don't fear the mistakes too much. = ) Playing by ear is a great practice and skill. Yes, I learn the songs by ear, but I write sheet music for myself to read since I'm really bad at remembering what to play. ;D I use Sibelius 7 software to write sheets, and it also helps a lot to arrange a song, since I can listen what the arrangement sounds like.
