Wenn ich durch die deutschen Wälder laufe, alte Ruinen und Bunker der Nazibauten entdecke, Schnee und frost die Landschaft bedeckt, ertönt der Klang dieser Musik in meinen Ohren. Orte der Stille, orte des nie vergänglichen Leidens unzähliger Opfer und zugleich Orte der Vergessenheit. Bunker mit Blick auf den Feind, auf den Feind der nie mehr kommen wird. Jawohl! Ein Ort der geschichtlichen Trauer. Unsere Ahnen die im Krieg auch teils unschuldig gestorben sind. In den Ruinen schreien die Geister noch heute nach ihrem ersehnten Frieden. All die Menschen, die unter diesem Krieg leiden mussten. Gänsehaut! Amen!

Just makes me homesick for a time where I was in the past. And I know every nook and corner. You don’t see the cupboards with herbs and spices or my other long lost books. Rafter filled with drying herbs, a fireplace with a black cauldron brewing potions. Home for me a very very long time ago.
