My childhood on a farm in the country. Summed up in one video.
Froggie loves Daddy. Does Daddy love Froggie? We sure do!!!
Currently out my window I hear many spring peepers, 2 different toads, and a few Gray Treefrogs (Isanti)
The bird I was looking for here wasn't in the video, but my cat responded to these more than any other bird video! Today I saw sandhill crane, great blue heron, loon, and pelicans. Thanks for the video.
Been looking for the Chickadee !! All time favorite bird sound , been hearing it my whole life in MN!! Glad I can finally put a face to the sound Thank you!!
He explains it as a video game
whats on his face already 😱
Black capped chickadee. That’s what I’ve been hearing!
I LOVE THE SOUND OF THE BLACK CAPPED CHICKADEE every single of my core memories from my childhood start with waking up to the sound of this bird.
I literally came to this video looking for it! There's so many in my area and I hear it all the time
Me to! It's my favorite!
100% the same haha
Still hear it, the sound brings back memories
this video is the best on the subject! im going to use this in a few days you have helped me very practically thanks again
thank you!
Australopithecus will never be classified as genus Homo since its anatomy is too different than genus homo, it's too distinctively transitional. But of course it will remain in Hominina. Classification is about anatomy, physiology, genetics amd synapomorphies, not ability.
So incredibly informative. Thank you so much Dr Kolka :)
Hi laney
I respect those who stood in the river to measure it.
Anyone know the in the background of the chestnut-sided warbler one? I’ve been trying to find what that call is but I can’t seem to find it. 1:36
it's a veery!
@@snaggies thank you so much I’ve been looking forever to find what it was 😭
when I camp up here north I hear them so early sometimes. Before dawn.
😢 'promo sm'
That was awesome!
I never knew that last sound was a toad. I thought it was a cricket!
Really interesting content. The figure at 6:58 was the only one I could found on the internet that compared directly bogs and fens. So thank you.
He said pantherines are "stronger and bulkier" but mountain lions are larger than leopards. They also do not struggle with deer or elk, I don't know where he got that from. Cougar's will kill an adult elk everytime they want to eat no problem.
Nice!
I am cold so I’m listening to this to remember warmer times will come again.
I've been starting to hear the black-capped chickadees!
well, they're here now, huh.
Perfectly explained!
Jaguars can actually kill every prey in their server, pumas struggle to kill mountain goats.
No they don't. Mountain lions have killed fully grown bull elk and bull moose before, as well as adult feral Mustangs and even wild boar. Mountain goats are one of the Cougar's favorite easy prey items actually.
Thank you for posting this I have woods by my work and by my apartment, some of the birds, I have never heard before. Even, when growing up I lived by the Mississippi river, with plenty of woods nearby and even had a huge Dutch Elm tree in our yard, which had to be torn down. I have never heard some of these bird's before, but I do recognize quite a few of them and have heard a Loon's and Owl's before.
Studies have shown bird populations in different areas can have different dialects. Also most of a birds’ body is pharynx where the voice box is , so I am sure they are able if taught to make more human sounding words.
I'm trying to call them to my feeder. It didn't have seed in it for a month & they forgot about this yard
It just feels like another day listening to these. Recognize em all and it’s very soothing
Brords
Awesome content, walked through a tamarack bog yesterday in northern WI and saw some cool stuff. Pitcher plants and wild cranberry. Felt like walking on a floating mat.
Super!
What are all those annoying noises?

What an excellent presentation! Nothing like listening to an expert who knows how to present information.

This was a wonderful learning experience for me! We are about to live in a forest and wetland mix of land and I want to learn as much as possible about becoming a good, knowledgable steward of the land. I learned so much from this! Thank you!
For some reason, you're hard to understand.
I really enjoyed how this is set up, makes me feel like I’m watching a live table read or something.
yo its rie love your vids😊😊
🐦 Early in the morning, before the alarm clock wakes me up, it's the melodious sounds of the beautiful birds that wakes me up with a pleasurable feeling. It's the birds melodious sounds that makes my mood feel better and cool. They fly from tree to tree making different types of sounds and getting themselves happy. They also makes my mood feel better and cool. 🐤I opened the windows and peeped through the trees and the flower plants. There, I saw several types of lovely birds and their sweet sounds that gave me a cool relaxation. Birds welcomes the morning and waiting patiently for the sun to rise. They welcome the sun rise by their melodious sounds that is hardly difficult to highlight its natural performance. 🐦 While I was watching the movements of the beautiful birds through the window, suddenly I felt someone touching my shoulder very slowly and softly. In no time I turned back to see who was that. To my surprise I saw my younger sister Sara watching along with me the bird's free movements and then their pleasurable sounds that attracts our attention and relaxations. 🐤If I was a bird, if I had lovely voices, if I had melodious sounds, if I would be able to fly up in the sky, if I can fly from tree to tree, if I can enjoy the tasty fruits as my favourite, if I could soak my body with the rain shower, if I could allow the sun light to make my tiny body feel better, then how happy I would be to live in this world with full of happiness. 🐦 The birds such as Black cap, willow barbler, Chiff choff, Dunnock, Robin, Gold Finch, Black bird, House Sparrow, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, and the Nightingale birds and their Marvellous actions and their pleasing sounds are much more commendable. Birds melodious sounds gives me a relaxation and pleasure. 🍒 But I am unlucky to be a human being where there is no freedom like a bird has. 🐦🐤 By: Dawood Written on: 9th March 2022 🐦🐤🐦🐤🐦🐤🐦🐤🐦🐤🐦🐤🐦🐤🐦
I’ve always thought American lions lived in sexually diverged prides. With males living independently from female lions. Maybe a coalition of 2-4 males having a large territory with 1-3 matriarchal prides within. Only every once in awhile checking up with their breeding females, chasing their sons out and eating with their families. Lionesses seemed strong and big enough to take own large packs of dire wolves and other predators without the aid of a male. With the true king Arctodus, a large male lion chasing his family from a kill so he can eat first only seems beneficial when you are the king of beast in that habitat.
