hello i am looking at these now also lol do they run true to size? also is the midsole firm because i dont not like the new versions with soft density. they feel unstable for me with weak ankles ?

I used this Iconic Shoes 👟 for training, and Racing... in Panama 🇵🇦....I loved $39.95 US .....You don’t have the one in Silver ..I think was 1984 /85

Yes, some classic shoes you mention there!! Had the LDV but loved the look of the Tailwind (too expensive for me back then) and Bermuda. Had a friend that lived in Bermuda hence the link and was lucky enough to visit many years later and win the International Mile race there.

Had the Pegasus GX, my first pair of Nike, first love. i've gotten various pegasus '83 retros, but the design is not quite the same, neither quality like those Korea made.

great video, i think the wedge is PU not eva hence the yellowing (i don't think they were able to put an air bag in CMEVA for quite a while

When I started running back in January ‘84 I nearly bought the Pegasus but was more attracted to the Internationalist of which I had 2 pairs. A few years later I had the Pegasus of 1987/88 which I loved al lot. I used them for track sessions (a gravel track) as well as for my long runs up to 2 hours. The waffle outsole was perfect cause I ran mostly in the forest. The Pegasus as well as the Internationalist of that time were perfect for my narrow feet. Nowadays I love the Pegasus 34 the most and hate the 37 (which I gave away after 2 runs).
Yes, wore the Internationalist myself, great shoe at the time but I recall the EVA midsole collapsing and degrading terribly.

Would this be a good race shoe if your can’t get the alpha fly
The Alphafly is more race specific, so you’d probably be better going for the Next% if you can’t get hold of the Alphafly. But, if it’s because of the cost of the Alphafly, where not try the adidas or even Saucony Endorphin Speed - both similar price to the Tempo.

A 'flat foot' is describing the shape of the foot, not the function. If the foot is very flexible (as is usually why people have been told they have 'flat feet') then a more supportive shoe may be required.

Yes it is embedded into the midsole - but you can’t see, remove or replace it (without cutting the shoe up!)

Yes, I know what you mean. It has a smooth texture and keeps debris out on dusty gravel trails and paths - it’s a really nice shoe and perfect if vertical K is your thing. Thanks for the comment.
@@therunningshoeguru-new I did the VK in Scotland last year, it looks more European suited than the bog that was Scotland, gotta love European courses 👍🏃♂️

I think you’ve articulated the reason behind the mixed reviews extremely well. I’m very much a heel striker so I want a lot of heel cushioning and a smooth transition. This was a joy to run in, especially when picking the pace up. No slapping noise at all.

Hi thanks for the great review! I am thinking of buying a Coros but one main concern for me is the fact that you have to either unlock the screen to press a button while running or, if you are in unlocked mode, you run the risk of accidentally turning the knob. My concern is, when you do say 200m splits you don't want to unlock some screen first when taking a lap or, you just want to press a button and go on. I am worried that maybe Coros didn't take the needs of short distance runners' training into account that much, since they mainly cater to long distance and ultrarunners. The other thing is the Coros branding on the watch display. I see that in most reviews of the watch, also in yours, but in some reviews there is a clockface-like border instead (which I like more). Is that because it's an older edition? Or is the Coros branding border removable?
There is an easy way to start each lap and have it run consecutive, and there are multiple watch faces - you pick which one fits your needs. The lock, unlock isn't a problem. Hope you get your answers.
do you remember how long the training load showed? a few other reviewers said it only showed up to one week max
sorry - I don't recall I'm afraid. As I've said in some other previous comments, only had the watch as a loan unit for a few weeks and now it's gone :-(
