Also had a 74. Orange and black. Coil useless and weak and loaded plugs up very quickly. Replaced it with a GM car coil,. The Chrome horn button assembly fell apart one day on a ride. Handled superbly, mufflers sounded intoxicating. Wish i had kept it.

I'm not sure why, but i always have trouble with turn one.

How did the guy BEHIND you run you wide? You blew the turn and he took the racing line. I think the guys in the N2 forum pointed this out quite well too.

This video has ben up for four years, and I just now realized that I had the right side cover off when I shot it, having just installed a new battery. That said, it now has a nice Keihan stainless steal replica Conti exhaust system that sounds sweet. I guess it is time to shoot a new video. Stay tuned as I'm going to start shooting some new video, and will add some voice commentary and historical information for each bike I ride.

I’ve got one exactly like yours in my garage. Before I put a race cam in it you could crank with your hand. The only difference, I painted it black when the original color went bad and I’ve got the original saddle on it still.

On mine it seems I have to open up almost all the way to chike in order for my engine to not bog when going up the revs.. any advice? I dont think its normal. The choke should be for cold starts onky not for normal driving

Contrary to BMW opposing twins, it vibrates low down but not up top. It just sings as this video shows admirably.

Honda made the CX500 based on the Guzzi’ sta longitudinal inline V twin with shaft drive, they were that impressed with design.

Thanks for this. I had a 1000 LeMans Mk2 back in 1982, but unfortunately crocked it and myself by throwing it in a ditch one dark night. I loved my bike, did some 30000 km in a year without missing a beat, despite the thrashing I gave it now and then. To this day I mourn that bike. I would have loved to build a 3 wheeler using a Guzzi motor, but age and finances count against me unfortunately.

Dude! You didn't even take it over 6,000 rpm! These bikes are meant to be revved. That's where all the power is... :)

Yea im struggling to make sense of that pass when it was made. Absolutely didnt have the space or time. To play devils advocate a little it looked like you didnt use the whole track for a few entries and exits before that turn and he was counting on that again but you actually hit that one closer. Still he shouldn't have been there on ya in inter but at least both still rubber side down 🎉

Makes me miss the Spada I had in the 80's. Lusting after an F800GT BM now, but need to stay away from bikes. Coming off at my age, wouldn't do me any good.

What a beautiful machine and in a really nice part of PA......the roads are much better centrally than in the Southeastern side where I'm at - guess when you live closer to the city (Philly), you got more traffic zooming about. I was at a conference last year in Hershey and on the way home took some back roads which turned out to be pretty dang good - unfortunately I was in a cage rather than 2 wheels. Thank you for sharing this and your other bikes - gorgeous look and sound! EW :)
