Yes its not that current is wrong but technically charge is the better answer. Charge is the particles the electricity is made up of so is the better answer. Current os really the speed or rate at which the charged particles flow. Some markschemes allow current but its better to say charge. As current is really just a measure of the rate of flow of charge. However in everyday speak we often use thebword current to describe a stream of electrons although this is wrong and charge is a better word
ok thank you so much
In the markscheme it says ignore current why is it wrong for Q 6.2
will you be doing the live stream lessons?
Yes ill be restarting live stream lessons this weekend
Yes will be restarting live streams weekly probably tuesdays in the week
sir do u do private tuition online of chemistry a level
Hi there drop me an email at letsgettothemarks@gmail.com
Thanks for the help (the cm^3 really caught me out)
You are a genuine saint thank you
Hello how will the science paper be formatted if it’s a combined science paper
Hi if you are taking the ISEB foundation paper then it is a 60 minute test which is split into bio chem and physics roughly a third of the marks on each section. You have 6o minutes to complete the test and the questions are worth a total of 80 marks.
@@letsgettothemarksThank you so much

Super helpful tyty
07.6 I was so confused on,Tysm
in question 8.1 why is amount of A 0.32? amazing video btw
Hi glad you enjoyed the walk through. For 8.1 at the start of the reaction we have 0. 60 moles of A and O moles of product C as the reaction hasnt happened yet. However we are told at equilibrium we have 0.28 moles of C.So where did those moles come.from? Well C is in a 1:1 ratio with the reactant A so for every mole of C made 1 mole of A is used up. As we have 0.28 mole of C we used up 0.28 mole of A. We had 0.60 mole of A at the start so now we only have 0.32 mole.of A left at Eq. In contrast B is in a 2:1 ratio with C so we actually used 0.56 (0.28*2) of B sononly have 0.04 left after (0.60-0.56=0.04)

Could you say amylopectin has 1-4 and 1-6 glycosidic bonds but amylose has only 1-4 glycosidic bonds?
@@absolutelynot_here Yes spot on Amylose is coiled but a straight chain with no branches so only 1-4 glycosidic bonds. Amylopectin has both as is highly branched this means it is faster to catalyse and release glucose for respiration. Obviously with animals they move around unlike plants so they need to hydrolyse or catalyse or breakdown their energy store even quicker so Glycogen is very highly branched ao wven more 1-6 glycosidic links than amylopectin

is this triple or combined?
This is for triple. Or separate science Chemistry only

For question 8.1 why do you multiply 0.350 by the mean titre value?
Hi so we are told the concentration of NaOH is 0.350mol dm -3. The mean titre is the volume of NaOH in the titration. This means we have both the volume and concentration for NaOH so now this is the starting point for a titration now you can do n= cxv and calculate the moles or n of NaOH. This gets your first marks on the board in any titration. Next we use the ratio which we can deduce by writing an equation to workout the ratio of NaOH to sodium ethanoate is 1:1 so now we know the moles of Sodium ethanoate. From there we can deduce mass using mass = mr x n and then percentage mass using the original mass in question
hiii can i plz ask why couldn’t you do it the other way round where you write 50✖️x and 53 ✖️13.9-x? thank you

Are there seperate topics for year 13 chemistry A LEVELS
@@MohamedOmar-k1t So in year 12 if you are AS or A Level you study the same. However the way the content is examined at AS is different to how yhe content is examined in year 13. In year 13 you learn new content with a small percentage of overlap from year 12
please never stop making these videos. you are amazing thank you.

I dont understand the last part , after y=20 , why did u assume ratio as 2 and why did it become 25?
We worked out the ratio of abundance of ti48 was 20 hence y =20. However the total abundance in this question is out of 25. Look at the first set of working out we know the first 3 ratio abundances were 2 2 1 and then we got 20. Now the question asks to find % abundance of 46 they already gave us thebratio abundance of 2 for ti46 so what is that as a % we do 2 /25.× 100. So its 8 percent
@@letsgettothemarks i understooddd , thankyou soo much

hello! for question 01.1 would it then be right to say effective nuclear charge decreases down the group as no. shells increases/more shielding
@@sleepdeprivedalevelstudent Thats right. However easy mistake to make if you miss out the word effective. You used to gain marks in the old syllabus for talking about nuclear charge. If your worried about making mistakes you can just talk about force of attraction to the nucleus. More shielding less force of attraction to rhe nucleus.
On 7.1 the ethanol equation is not balanced in terms of Hydrogens
Well spotted. I was focussing on the CO2 a little too much just add the correct amount of water to balance the hydrogen. Also in the photosynthesis equation I didnt bother balancing the H20 which is criminal. 😅 I shall add that error to the description thnx
Thanks for making it short and understandable ❤️
