Tremendo!! Estamos en los 50, nuestros hijos adolescentes descubrieron unos videos de Stryper, nos dijeron "Ma! Pa! Hay una banda de metal que tiene unos temas buenísimos" y no podían creer que ya eran famosos durante nuestra adolescencia. Mi hijo guitarrista quedó fascinado, empezó a probar nuevas distorsiones y el fin de semana las aplicó al tocar en el culto, y fue espectacular, con unción y potencia. Recuerdo que en esos tiempos eran tildados como "los melenudos escandalosos que desvían a los jóvenes cristianos del camino de Dios", porque la iglesia era conservadora al extremo en aquella época, además no contábamos con el traductor de Google, y muchos adultos y ancianos pensaban que las letras tenían contenido satánico. Y de verdad era muy chocante ver esos músicos con ese atuendo, siendo que los jóvenes cristianos ni siquiera tenían permitido usar bermudas ni jugar al fútbol, pero también es cierto que muchos adictos de las esquinas se deleitaban escuchando esta música, y así se fueron acercando a Cristo. Es una alegría enorme para mi esposo y para mí disfrutar junto a nuestros hijos de estas producciones y adorar a Dios con estas hermosas letras. Dos generaciones copadas con el metal cristiano de excelencia. 🙌🏻
