Beginning of video guy in black hat is my dad. Love ya dad!
Did you use an ND filter?
Stéphane S. no I didn’t use an ND on this video.
Oh boy
the only thing I regret is the lack of possible shallow depth of filed. But otherwise, I'm thinking on shooting a short film with this set up
Nice !
Stéphane S. thank you!
Interesting!
Amazing! trying to master my bmpcc 4k. what iso did you use for the lowlight scenes? and did you overexpose and shoot in "film mode"?
JocZilla thank you for your comment. I honestly can’t remember what iso I was shooting those low light scenes. I did shoot in film mode but wasn’t overexposing. There were 2 scenes I inserted that were from the BMPCC, I still love that camera! I have to make it a point to write settings down to answer questions properly!
Don't overexpose with the BMPCC4K, the film mode don't react like the Vlog for exemple. You better preserve the highlight and recover the shadow if needed... :)
Except with RAW uncompressed if you work with the Adobe Camera RAW you can overexpose and recover the higlight with no problem
I was there! It was awesome 😎
I see. So you prefer having the old BMPCC with prime lenses rather than new BMPCC 4K and cheaper lenses. Interesting choice! I also got the old BMPCC and I find its color rendition better than the new one
I did pick up the new BMPCC4K, haven’t had time to shoot anything yet. I do still love the old sensor though!
@@jefffortier4936 look forward to seeing your footage with the new one! You can do a comparison now lol I'm also intrigued by the Z Cam E2 which has so much dynamic range...
Stéphane S. awesome! Thanks!
Great work!
Callum thanks👍
WHICH IPHONE AND LENS?
MUSIC WORLD I used the iPhone 6s and the Moondog Labs anamorphic lens.
can u please tell me the camera settings, about gears and color grade settings?
MUSIC WORLD I can’t remember the settings but I did use the Filmic pro app and put a rec 709 LUT and used neat video to clean up some noise.
thnx bro for sharing this information
beautiful shots!
Changlin Vermion thanks!
What song did you use for this video? You've got some great taste!
Hey thanks, the song was called No Sympathy by an artist called Bytheway-May
you copied from rockin 1000 italy
This was truly beautiful to watch! I am thinking of getting a BMPCC (amateur photography), this is definitely inspiring! Thanks for posting this!
beautiful footage! is it veydra mini prime 12mm 1:01-1:18? what's the gimbal you work with?
Lee Jin Woo thank you! That was a Panasonic Lumix lens (14mm) on a Came TV gimbal, the Veydra lens is too heavy for that gimbal.
stunning shots!
MoonWalkerTexsRanger Thanks!
Looks amazing!!
Insanity On A Bun Thank you!
Firstly, everything looks excellent, superior work! Honestly I’ve been in a constant internal struggle for the past 2 years now debating on either getting the EF to BMPCC metabones speedbooster + Sigma 18-35 + Sigma 50-100 and getting a few of the Veydra primes. I really wish I could use a speedbooster with them so I could get the fullest look. I always have to go super wide to get anything decently wide on the BMPCC and it’d be nice to have that APS-C room to breathe with the EF BMPCC speedbooster, but the Veydras just look so good. I’m sure you know the popularity and pros and cons between them, what would you say I do? Had my BMPCC for exactly 3 years now. Love the little quirky guy and I know it’s quirks quite well, but can’t decide to go the Sigma or Veydra route
Great footage! Thank you!
wow this is really good! nice work bro 👌🏼
N/A Productions Thanks!
BMPCC & Vedra looks like a match made in heaven. I'm sure you feel the same. Enjoyed watching this
livethelifetv thanks! I'm hoping to get the 85mm soon.
that's another beauty in that lineup
How is the crop factor?
the crop factor is a 2.88 and can be reduced with the metabones speed booster to something like 1.88. the crop factor doesn't really bother me that much.
What lens did you use?
Serhildan000 I used a Veydra 12mm cinema prime lens and for the gimbal shots, I used a Panasonic Lumix 14mm pancake lens
Thanks mate. Great footage!
Serhildan000 no problem, thanks for your comments!
some great visuals there, congrats. Any experience with any of the other Vedra sense sizes?
Patrick Cahill Thanks for your comments. I only have the 12mm Veydra right now. Hopefully I'm the future I can get more!
Where was this filmed ?
Alexis Dimes this was filmed in the Niagara region, near Niagara Falls.
Is the Vedra cinema 12mm prime worth it?
Its a bit pricey, think their most expensive lens, I believe. I love it because it has the follow focus gear and uses T stops instead of F stops. A great lens all around! In my opinion it is worth it.
ok thanks mate :)
Great video! Are you still selling your iphone 5s anamorphic lenses?
Rui Rocha thanks, I sold that lens last year!
nice video jeff ! that mood and stable movement 👍🏻 anyway , can i use your background music for my video if you mind ?
Thanks for your comments.! You would have to license the music that I used for this video, through Musicbed.
Hello ,Jeff another good video! what kind of stabilizer did you use on this one? nice .. and what cam did you use ? and lens? I like it
Thank you, I used the Came TV 3 axis stabilizer, the BMPCC and the lens was a Panasonic Lumix 14mm.
Song name please 🙏🙏🙏
Kam Piun it's called Silver Lining by the artist: Lights And Motion
Hey man, i think you have auto iris and focus on.. its got a flicker. Also, you should shoot tight shots and disperse in between the wide shots. Also, keep your horizon lines straight, and avoid foreground objects - its really amateur looking. Also avoid, shooting down, it appears lazy. saying "oh its not important its a test shoot" is not an excuse. you are publishing it for millions to see. if you want a rep for shooting, do it properly. i hope this sounds fair, you asked for comments
Thank you for your comments!, I appreciate your constructive criticism very much, it helps me to be a better videographer/cinematographer. I was using the iPhones built in camera not filmic pro which I started using after this video. Not sure of your skill set but I will check out some of your stuff. If you have time I would like your opinion on some of the other stuff I have shot. I have switched to the BMPCC but still have some videos posted with the iPhone and the anamorphic adapter. Thanks again and will look forward to your comments!
LOL!!!. Real pro here. Many years of making my bread and butter in production, many many many multi-million dollar commercials and television shows under my belt. FISH ROD, you sound delusional! You sound like the type that talks just to talk. I never comment on anything, but your comment is so shocking I had to log in and respond. Kid, your footage on your page looks like garbage! LOL! Pure garbage! So garbage everything you just said is thrown out the window. What a fucking joke. Good luck getting nowhere in this business. Jeff Fortier, whoever you are, do not ask this guy for opinions. Fish Rod is all bark and no bite.
