Soorya Performing Arts is a nonprofit organization devoted to preserving, propagating through imparting training, and performance of Indian Performing arts. Its basic mission is to enrich the cultural diversity and artistic excellence in the state of Missouri and across the Greater United States of America.
Soorya Performing Arts organizes annual American Natya Festival in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. It has curated 12 national dance dance festivals since 2008. It also has created 5 music Festival. Soorya performing Arts invited many eminent artists such as Padma vibhushan Birju Maharaj, Padmashri Kadri Gopalnath, Dr. Nagamani Srinath, Padmavibhushan Kamala Lakshman, Adyar K Lakshman, Dhananjayans and others to perform in its organization. It has given opportunity to more than 2000 artists since 2008.
Its Baithak series has encouraged many young artists. It has curated more than 25 Baithak performance
Guru Prasanna Kasthuri leads the organization with volunteers and Board members.

Savitri - Defeat of Death
Defeat of Death is a story from ancient Indian epic - Mahaa Bhaarata. Story narrates the life of couple - Sathyavan and Savitri. Savi married Sathyvana, a humble forest dweller, son of a blind person. She fell in love with him in the first sight.
After first year of marriage, Sathyavan's life is cut-short because his life's limit as written bythe fate. Yama, the god of death , himself comes and snatches the soul. Being a pious woman, Savitri sees the existence of death himself. She follows him to get her husband's soul back.
One must watch the dance drama, whether she succeeded or not.

Hello Rohith, this is the original music created for "Zero" production by Guru Prasanna Kasthuri. But we did use the tunes from Arabic music sources in the last part of the production, to showcase, the borrowing of decimals from Arab mathematicians. Indian minds have given an everlasting contribution to humanity through the invention of "Zero" .
