The Washashores RUclips channel is a complementary component of the Washashores website and Facebook page, which serve as a guide to fun places to go and fun things to do on Cape Cod after the sun goes down. Where can you go for a great dinner or to hang out with friends in cozy pub? Where can you go dancing, listen to live music, sing karaoke, or participate in a trivia night? We're "washashores" ourselves and we are dedicated to uncovering the Cape's nighttime treasures. And we let you know what we find.
Pirate Day on Cape Cod
Since we had a visitor from off Cape with us this weekend, we decided to make yesterday pirate day with a visit to the Whydah Pirate Museum and the Pirate’s Cove mini golf course on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.. And it was a surprisingly good time! The museum is actually very impressive, with lots of real pirate artifacts recovered from the Whydah slave and pirate ship that sunk off the coast of Cape Cod in the 1600s. We learned all about the dashing pirate captain of that ship, Sam Bellamy, and even the tee boxes at the golf course provided signage offering lots of fun facts about pirates and the pirate history of Cape Cod.
