💯 Nice ❤❤❤
Classic swing from the 80's..... beautiful but with a reverse C, driving your legs as much as possible, keep your head down, all the traditional lines of thought from way back then. Aesthetically one of the most beautiful swings ever, but one that would require incredible talent to succeed with, which Miller possessed.
the goat

i didn't realize he had a slightly cupped left wrist at the top! not the trend nowadays.
Bent left arm is the new power move. Forget what the neanderthal coaches say.
Superb
Great footage! Thanks for posting 👍😊🏌🏿♂️
Oh yeahhhh. Just. Yeaaaaah. Ooofta. Whatever they're doing now may hit the ball farther but ain't nobody doing that. Dude was riding that spiral like nobody's business. I got to see Gary Woodland hitting balls before he was professional and I remember immediately hearing it, seeing it and thinking... Ok yeah I don't even know what that is. I was a plus 2 handicap at the time time and was pretty competitive at the amateur level... I just thought ok, this guy is playing a different sport. Whatever he is doing with that club is not the same thing I do. I was caddying for the number 3 golfer at Stanford at that time, and as amazing as he was - neither was he. Let me expound and say - whatever Gary Woodland was doing, as amazing as that was? I gota say, I assume this would have been even more mesmerizing .
I've been working on that type of pivot action and I think I got it. when it's on everything is good but I have to be careful of early extension and I hit a block out to the right or a pull left.i can watch this a bunch of time, ingrain it in my mind and try to mimck it in my action. it's a powerful move but you have to stay a centered as you can.
that's swinging all out, what body action and pivot.
🤤
The finest swing ever
Beautiful - classic Phil Mickelson 'Hinge & Hold' 👍
Great technique.
Amazing swing!
He really knows how to match up the hands. Legend
Yeah. He talks all the time about how tempo is his main focus.
Wow that’s smooth!
What people forget about Ben Hogan is that he didn’t win a major until he was 34. So he won all his 9 majors in a 7 year spell, his last major was in 1953 at The Open in Carnoustie when he was 41.
lol yer the small issue of world war 2 played a role in that 😊
His swing was so much better 10 years ago
Hits a fade?
Best golf swing I have seen worldwide this year.
Ricky fan for over a Decade!!!!!!!
Weak lead hand grip!
This remains the best golf swing I have ever seen. Even at set up, it looks like he can't miss. Tremendous power and swing speed.
Sam was just stronger and more athletic than everyone else. Look at him
Trail arm is kept almost in the same position from top of swing through impact. Cool stuff!
Single plane swing just arms and hands leading and the body following
Snead came over the top and down the line. It’s the natural thing to do and that’s why it is so hard not to do it.. Hale Irwin did the same thing. So did Bobby Jones. If you watch closely you’ll see he is aligned right but watches the ball flight over his left shoulder. The reason coming over the top causes a slice is because golfers have been told to align themselves with the target so they never get the club face closed. If you align right, come over the top and close the club face you’ll be hitting like Sam Snead. Don’t believe me? Try it.

Head so steady, hips starting downswing. One amazing golf swing!
Watching players like Ollie Fisher play with technically excellent swings, then watching Scottie Scheffler, who clearly is the best golfer in the world currently. Have we got it all wrong? Are we all too busy playing Golf Swing and not enough Golf?
Truly a beautiful swing.... complete perfect motion.
Chael's next video: "Is Jon Jones a homosexual?"
no
Notice his right hip starts moving back before his hands start moving on the back swing.
I think Sam took the club away with his left arm/hand in charge linked to his hips rotating. I then think he started his downswing with his hips like Hogan did and hit with both hands/arms. Not 100 percent sure but I think he had a few secret moves going on there. He may have even got to the top and then held with his left hand and hit with his right hand/arm tied in with his hips again on the downswing. He may have let his left hand control the face of the club and the right hand/ arm deliver the power. That could all work but gets complicated on shorter shots into the green. Beautiful swing anyway.
i don't think the drive went more than 250 yards. he'll be in trouble if he plays today in the PGA
He might be old now but look at his mighty calves.. thats impressive for a man his age..
Why it's always slo mo ?
He kept that right elbow nice and tucked against his body while keeping his left arm straight as possible then using his hips and lower body to start that beautiful down swing. In other words, an almost perfect golf swing. And completely self taught. No swing coach, putting coach, sports psychologist, trainer, massage therapist etc. Nope, did it all himself. Although, maybe could have used instruction for his putting.
When I first saw this swing in regular motion, I couldn't believe how fast and powerful it is. With Hogan's strength and wonderful technique, if he were in his thirties today, he would be one of the longest, most accurate and best players in the world.
I’m wondering it looks like both his legs here are locked straight, back to begin with, in other vids not so much
Tempo, rhythm, whatever you want to call it. Perfect.
Love Mr Sneads swing!
Great video, love to see what the pros are doing for 'feel drills'! Thanks for posting! 👌⛳
Great quality, superb swing too.
Sweeter than Yoo-Hoo.
Did you all know that Hogan was in a serious auto accident with his wife, that he sustained critical injuries, and that he recovered to play again in top form?
Near Van Horn, Texas, way out in the middle of nowhere, before cell phones and Lifeflight.
@@macman9831 Quite a man!!
I was lucky enough to interview this legend.
