Amidst the chaos of one domino falling in a series of escalating events humanity is being given the opportunity to understand what is truly necessary to life on earth. Hopefully it is clear to more and more people how important it is that we grow our own food and build good communities around us so that we can forego disaster and live better lives. We are currently beginning a project in Lesvos...

In May last year I stayed with Graham and Nancy Bell as my first stop in Scotland, and my first permaculture site out of Australia. It was fantastic and humbling to learn so much from them, and spend 3 weeks living with them. Thank you Graham and Nancy

On my first trip to Greece I was invited to teach a Permaculture Design Course on this farm, where they have been building with natural building techniques, teaching and showcasing it all sounds Greece. Since I first came I did a design to help them become self-sufficient in water use and food, also having a farm product to sell, all the while regenerating their land. I am extremely grateful to...

Frozen water, unfinished nurseries and Eucalyptus. A very full course on agroforestry is beginning in Nessonas, Greece today. We will be teaching people how to transition their paddocks and monoculture orchards into a Regenerative abundance, producing more than they ever could have conventionally.
Food Forest in Northern NSW

A freshly planted good forest, two months old full of green growth after a broken drought in Australia. The food forest is almost a year old now! But I am on the other side of the world and can't see it! I hope it's happy and well. I miss my farm but am happy to be learning and doing lots somewhere else while it evolves.
Food Forest Preparations in Greece

We are back in Nessonas, Greece at cob.gr, preparing for a food forest workshop in two days. The big series of mountains covered in snow are Olympus. During the workshop we'll build a no-turn compost pile to heat water for showering and heat the thermal mass of a nursery for winter, make biochar, build with cob, install a reed bed-water purification system, dig some swales, understand food fore...

Scavenging carobortus edulis from the carparks of Ramsllah for our ground cover, and standing on a radically changed bit of land. Crazy aesthetics with a bright green banana peduncle path to pace peacefully pondering permaculture. Astroturf dining for residents. Random grapevines found upon our grassy jungle excavation. And a gravel path with saw dust mulch. The locals thought we were absolutel...
City Food Forest in Ramallah Part 1

Putting in a small city-scale food forest with David in Ramallah, the Westbank. There's a big, old washingtonia palm, ivy, grapes, a pomegranate, a common landscaping plant I can't identify and a running grass ground cover. To retrofit we've tidied the area, pulled the grass in from the edges, dis-favoured it and covered it with a thick layer of cardboard. We're digging holes for a citrus, some...

What an amazing project Sam! Great work, great video, look forward to seeing the progress as the site develops. Alex 👏🌿
Thanks Alex <3
I am a former student of Sam and would like to vouch for him. Sam is chalk full of kowledge and genuine passion to change this world and just one of those people that is so damn positive just hanging around him will make you smile. Proud of you Sam for scoring this large project, I pray your success continues and you help the Earth and people heal. Amer.
This would be a lovely story if you had chosen to help humanity rather than just Christians, that comes off sounding horrible.
Funny thing to say. I am working for a Christian community, not Christian myself. Very happy to work with anyone
@@sam.parkerdavies It sounds odd to me because I live in Canada. All religions, all nations accepted here. I have never thought twice about who I will assist or whose help I will accept. Religious affiliation never comes up when helping neighbors or applying for work. Why mention Christians at all ?
@@bizzarostormy Because it's a big part of their motivation. They are a Christian community doing this for Christ. Why leave out such a key aspect of their motivation? I've worked for atheists, Buddhists, Muslims and Hindus who have also had clearly ideological reasons for doing what they do. Just as honoured to have worked for them, wouldn't want to leave out their significant purposes for doing what they're doing
@@sam.parkerdavies If that had been said it would not have sounded bad. The way it was worded that struck me. I am glad you're helping people. Good Luck .
@@bizzarostormy Why would I say that when it's out of context? I'm not trying to justify their Christianity, I shouldn't have to. Thank you for the well wishes
Hungary is in Central Europe !!!
No its not. Clearly eastern europe.
@ CENTRAL EUROPE
Sorry for any geographic offence 😉 I changed the title to Europe for you
Same thing we do on our farm. Let's heal the land and ourselves to be the creatures we are meant to be. Applause!
Alhamdulilah what a great way to live and bring perpetual goodness.
I really like your attitude and you are good for permaculture. Keep gardening
Fantastic food forest. We use cow pea and lab lab. Great nitrogen fixers and mulch when they die off. And they come back every year. Great way to bring in diversity of insects too.
Showing the area from the rooftop was great idea. I think that other videos about this project fail to give good idea of the surrounding context and the landscape situation to make this work stand out for those of us who can only watch the videos from other sides of the world.
put the phone in landscape mode when you shoot the video to get us that nice wide image where we can see much more of what you want to show us. thanks
Are you still in Greece?
Hey Sam, if you need a mic/recorder I'd be happy to donate you mine.

Good work mate! Those whicking beds are exactly what I designed for our future project in Namibia, except they are long rectangular ones. Glad we are on the same page. Hopefully we get to see an update a few months from now to see how everything is growing. Thanks for sharing. 👌🏻

Miss you too brother, yeah, still here but heading home soon ❤️

Wow the heated Green House is very impressive, Nice vid, bit windy!
God Bless your success brother
There are very interesting ruins and reliefs on the Black Desert, dated 8,500 years old. They can only be seen from satellites from the outer space. Archaeologists don't exactly know nowadays what they represent. According to a researcher these ruins really represent embryos of several species in different stages of development and will be able to shed light on the origin of the human being and our planet. When it will be officially confirmed by biologists, this discovery will change the way we see ourselves and the world, boost the Jordanian economy and bring many tourists. pontes-canosa-research.blogspot.com/2018/01/great-discoveries-in-jordan.html and the video's translation: pontes-canosa-research.blogspot.com/2018/04/revelations-with-virtu-pontes-jordan.html
