    I've listened to it all and this is my opinion: 1.The first 2 movements sound quite the same, but they sound like a person who is real, but not at the same time. 2.The scherzo doesn't sound like one, it's quite calm and it doesn't feel powerful when the noisy parts start, compared to other symphonies by Beethoven. 3.The last movement sounds more like it would be from the baroque period(like a march in the honor of a king) than from the classical period. 4.The thing that i don't like it's that it doesn't have a choir. Conclusion: this symphony doesn't sound like Beethoven at all.

    I think it should be put in the title " LB Sym 10 according to AI. It does not sound as a continuation of Beethoven works to me, not even close to the 9th, more a work after the 1sth. And there is actually a reconstruction of the possible 10th by Barry Cooper, in C minor.

    Before anyone criticizes AI, I just want to say that computers are really great at analyzing patterns and constructing new data out of already existing patterns. That's what the AI did with Beethoven, although on a much, much larger scale. It is harder for a human to do the same thing, because we all have our natural ways of creating or making up things. However, the AI doesn't get distracted. It knows the logic and the structure to follow. It is merely replicating a structure laid out by Beethoven in a newer, hypothetical way.

      But I have to be honest and say that this version of the 3rd and 4th movements is bad, a real composer would have done it better and I know someone who did it better, there is also a video of his own version of the third movement. At the moment, a human being can still analyze music better than an AI and I won't be persuaded, yes with art, but not with music. AI understands the structure of a piece of music, but it still can't implement it properly or process it in a meaningful way like a human can. The AI simply gives random structures or themes that no longer make much sense in terms of music theory, but sometimes it sounds good by chance because it repeats, processes and develops the melodies. The AI will never become exactly like a human being, because it is not human. Nevertheless, I have to admit that it is making good and rapid progress and is moving further and further in the direction of humans, but it will never become 100% like a human. But there's no harm in experimenting with it, I don't deny that.

If you were to listen to AI music, but it was labeled as music written by a human, would you actually like it? You know this was written by an AI, so you were predisposed to listen to this music knowing that it might not sound good. But what if you didn't know, going in to listen to a piece of music, whether or not it was written by an AI?

    Why that eagerness to finish what was not finished or what the composer might have finished this or that way? Why not respect the silence of death? And also, in the case of Beethoven, what could have been greater than his 9th Symphony? Isn’t, for example, Schubert’s 8th perfect as it is? The only composition that has been finished to perfection is Mozart’s Requiem.

Maybe, this reason was never true.

      @@teodoragradinaru8572 Good day. But it makes sense that there is always at least one work that is never completed, because as a composer you work on several works at the same time, start different ones and finish different ones. It would have to be a very big coincidence that you die as a composer at the exact moment when you don't start or finish a new work.

    To begin with, this is not what Beethoven intended because we have several sketches and his intentions written down. He had also planned one of the movements with chorus, as he did with the 9th Symphony. That said, Cooper's attempt is interesting and not bad, though it's not Beethoven. About the AI attempt, the less said the better. It's incredibly awful. If a Beethoven estate existed, it should have sued. Or Beethoven's ghost should come out of his graves to chase the culprits with a stick.

      Isaiah 9 New International Version 9 [a]Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan- 2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. 3 You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder. 4 For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. 5 Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire. 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

    Some bits don't sound like Beethoven, but then again, bits of Beethoven don't sound like Beethoven. I wrote a completion of the Scherzo without the advantages of AI and I think it is more Beethoven than AI Beethoven. It's scary that soon you will be able to put some little theme into AI and it will cough up a whole movement in his style. Will it be Beethoven? I doubt it. We have to be careful what we call genuine and not genuine. However, the more I listen to this, the less convinced I am. When I wrote my realisation of the Scherzo, I tried to keep it as simple as possible; a straight interpretation with no additional ideas or development, just based on the scant material left by Beethoven. Certainly no cymbals or outrageous instrumentation.

    I have to say, as incredibly keen I would be to have ANY more Beethoven music of any nature, the 9th ... ?feels? ... like a culmination, a pinnacle, a peak of what any human could achieve in music, at least as far as my tastes and preferences go. I really can't imagine something coming after it, and while I find this piece interesting, I simply can't consider it part of the real canon. The 9th is - for me - the most beautiful piece of music ever composed, and I just can't grok anything else published online as being "true" to Beethoven as far as symphonies after the 9th.

      What was Beethoven's intention: Did he want to make a 10th Symphony? The answer is most assuredly yes. Ludwig was in conversation with leaders of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra about a 10th Symphony, no more than a couple of months before his death. Having said that does this Symphony sound like a Beethoven's composition? Yes and no. The first movement (since split into two movements), are spot on Beethoven-ish but the following two movements are just poorly reasoned out interpretations of the sketches Beethoven left behind. Beethoven tended to repeat themes throughout his music. The third and fourth movements lack that.

    What dr. Barry Cooper did in the early 80s is basically what the software has done more recently: a collection of "expressions", "sayings" and "manners of speaking" from Ludwig and replicate them. I don't like to admit it, but the A.I.'s orchestration seems to me more Beethoven-like than Cooper's. All in all, this is a pleasant piece of music, whoever wrote it, and I'm really glad to have the entire symphony in one file. I was 11 when it came out, from a family of traditional musicians, and I've grown along with it as much as any other Ludwig's score. Thanks, buddy.

    • @Der_Komponist
      @Der_Komponist 3 месяца назад

      But I have to be honest and say that Barry Cooper's version is much more mature and better than the AI, and I know what I'm talking about because I've heard and know a lot of Beethoven's works, and therefore know, recognize, and understand his musical style. The Barry Cooper version is good, I mean, why not write a movement that starts slowly, is fast in the middle, and ends slowly again. You can't argue that Beethoven would have done that too. The movement is also more structured than the other movements. I also understand a bit about music theory and I know that it's not 100% Beethoven, but Barry Cooper did a very good job with it, it's a modern first movement in which the basic rules of sonata form are not fully adhered to, but it's nothing new with Beethoven that he often had to break the rules with his music as we know it now, and the 10th Symphony wouldn't have been as great as the 9th, but perhaps more modern than his other 9 symphonies. Every symphony by Beethoven has to be different because he wanted to make each symphony different from the other, so the 10th Symphony is something new and that's why you have to change the structure and break the rules again. The 10th would probably have been a romantic symphony.

But I advise you to search RUclips for something similar. But I can assume that, most likely, the first part (more than 20 minutes) consists of two movements, and the second part was created by artificial intelligence. You can find and listen to it. And I only compiled two parts to make a full-fledged symphony, although this is far from a work by Beethoven, but only a reconstruction. ruclips.net/video/Rvj3Oblscqw/видео.html
