As you were speaking Mel's house was burning literally to the ground.... along with 45 square miles of other luxury homes of those that produce the manner of content you refer to.

I remember all the hype that Mel Gibson's Passion movie got and how many people went goo goo over it. I was not one of them. While I was curious, I was going through a bad patch at the time.....physical and mental.....and in hindsight I'm glad I got through it all. Eventually, when all the hype was over, I did see the movie and saw it for the hooey that it was. I had bought the video so that I could resell it on Bay. I wish now I would not have had anything to do with it, although I do not think I was chastised for it. If anything, I've been blessed and had the discernment to avoid the jabs, too. I also have less and less to do with anything that reeks of Roman Catholicism, including dropping most from my life. No regrets. Jim Caviezel is another former Hollywood type to stay away from. Needless to say, I avoid any kind of religious flick that Hollywood spits out.

I can agree to some degree. Not every individual has the capability or even the God given gift of spiritual discernment and strength to “exercise their senses” and “prove all things” lawfully. However, there are individuals that look at all things from an objective standpoint, while being rooted and grounded in truth. It may be useful in the sense of studying how to answer, so as to be better equipped in knowledge regarding the subject that a lost person might be entangled in. It’s like studying other religions and denominations. You cannot be qualified to talk about things from a biased opinion. It just doesn’t work that way with certain lost people. 1Co 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

I read somewhere that Mel Gibson based The Passion of a book written by a mystic nun. I can only imagine where he's getting his resurrection story from.

The worst part is, the film will mark people as the definitive story. Detrimental, and as usual, many Christians will waste countless hours defending or defaming it, instead of doing what they should, almost needless to say, spreading the gospel. What'cha gonna do? Stay clear of all of it is what.
