It was a gloomy and rainy day, we set off early in the morning and arrived at the Wells Preserve in Laudholm, Maine around 7:00. there was no one else then. When we got out of the car, one red-tailed hawk flew past us holding a mouse with one of its claws, perched on a pole not far from the entrance.
