Ordered myself a saber slug after watching your review.
@@kyle875 that’s awesome, you will like it…it feels bigger than it looks if that makes sense to you?. Thanks for watching!
That's a sweet blade, I like it.
@@danielcharbonneau222 I like it ! Thanks for watching!
I found a North Star that I'm looking to purchase in which the steel type is not printed on it. . Do you know what type of steel yours is?
@@chad_washing I sold mine years ago like a dummy & wish o had it back…but I’m pretty sure it’s A2
Like the Slug feels lot bigger knife when in hand. Battle Horse makes great 01 steel knives. Woodsman my favorite Slug second. Vid AAAA++++
@@bigjimwvmtman9995 I agree & thanks for watching!
That’s a sweet looking piece of steel 😍 That little Slug Looks like a great fit in the hand with the beefier handle
@@dreamcreationsadventures it is nice 👍 thanks for watching!
I agree with you , knife would awesome with full flat .
@@Adam-k3m I like my scandi’s a little thinner but it’s ok. Thanks for watching!
I like Battle Horse knives. I have 2 of them, the Battlelore and the Woodsman Pro. They make a great knife!

That’s pretty slick!
Some of the Amazon mantles are weird. I find them a lot more fragile than Coleman mantles. Thank you for showing these to us. Stay safe and stay warm

ESEE-Knife and TOPS-Ferro...poor kid
@@rockwell7968 I’m not crazy about the TOPS ferro rod but it’s ok. Thanks for watching!
@Thomas_M76 me too, when I 1st tried the ferro of TOPS I was a little bit disappointed because I only knew the light-my-fires. But the spine of the kephart-style PR4 seems to be an amazingly sharp striker. Love that vid...👍
@@rockwell7968 the PR4 is hard to beat for the cost, it’s my favorite ESEE ! Thanks again
Thanks for the content. I have to agree that the "fire starter" does not really add much value. I'd rather have a quality 1/2" ferro and cordage of my choice. I get that the world loves paracord, but bank line is nice to have as well. I also agree with the neck knife idea; maybe around the shop or the camp, but never in the field. Not being a boat owner, it does look like it would be a really handy boat knife. I've seen enough that I will order one up. The smallest fixed blade I've ever owned is a Buck 102. It really isn't that comfortable to do much work with outside of processing meat. I'm looking forward to this little cutter. 90% of what I use a knife, on the daily, should be quite comfortable with the Eldris. I will definitely appreciate that handle for longer or more tedious tasks. If I like it enough, I may add one to my tackle kit. Stay safe out there folks.
@@brianclevenger5521 thanks for watching, it’s a fun little tool !
Nice!
Nice and Heavy-Duty, on a Budget. It's hard to beat the SR1 Lite, at It's price bracket. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

Sweet!
I love me some fatwood! I have a ton of it. Good stuff! I always wondered how the Selkirk was. I have a ton of knives as well, including the sharp spine alternatives you mentioned, so I really don't need this Selkirj, but I've always liked the way it looked and was curious how it performed, so thank you for this video!

Awesome. I like the orange tape on Ferro rod handle. 😀👍✝️
orange tape on crucial gear is a must! i put orange tape on many of my stuff in case i drop them.
Thanks, I like to use orange on some of my smaller items that may be hard to find .
I like this one. It's a little shorter than my Jeff White French trade knife. Having a sheath made for it now... Nice video.
Thank ya sir ! It’s a dandy little blade !
Got one of these think I paid $8 for the bag years ago. I waxed mine with beeswax. Melted wax brushed it on the bag it dried on the outside of the bag took a heat gun and melted the wax into the canvas. Makes the threads less likely to pull on the stitching and waterproofs the bag. Made the bag stiffer. Can fill the bag with water about a gallon in a pinch if you needed container. Worth $8 I paid. I’d say it’s worth $15
Good idea, thanks for watching!
@@Thomas_M76 ya you can do it on all canvas gear. I actually made a paste with 16oz beeswax 8oz turpentine 8oz boiled linseed oil. You melt wax and mix in other ingredients stirring to mix really well. Remove from heat pour into a metal tin when it cools it will set up like a paste. You can use it on your canvas bags tents whatever you got canvas you want water proofed. Use heat gun not a hair dryer has to be heat gun and it absorbs into the the canvas completely and dries. Smells nice too. You can use the paste on furniture some people say I don’t but can’t see why not. It’s good stuff cheap and easy to make too.
You can also use clear silicone caulk & acetone to make a liquid waterproof coat
@@Thomas_M76 interesting
