Morocco purchased 14 TGVs from France Alstom back in 2018. So yeah, it is a French TGV for Moroccans. It connects Casablanca to Tangiers passing by Rabat and Kenitra just in two hours and ten minutes instead of six hours! The ONCF is a French acronym of the National Moroccan Railway Office. There are three trains for passengers in Morocco: the Atlas train named after the Atlas mountains. The Atlas train connects Marrakech to Oujda passing by central cities in Morocco and small ones. The TNR or commuter train, that is the one which you encountered in Rabat Agdal's train station. That train connects Casa Port to Kenitra. Last but not the least, the TGV or Al Boraq( mythical creature in Islam) that is similar to the 2N2 double-decker train. The reason why you see ONCF on all the trains is because there is only one company that is in charge of this sector! There are current plans to extend the TGV to Marrakech by 2029 in preparation for the 2030 World Cup. There are also plans to extend this train to the East of Morocco in Oujda city whose train is still powered by fuel!
Wow! such a good knowledge of Moroccan railway. Thanks for detailed information. It will be helpful for other visitors. I am glad to hear TGV train to Marrakech will be completed 2029 for World Cup. I caught 1st class trains Casablanca to Marrakech, Marrakech to Fes & Fes to Tanger. Thanks for watching 😁

I heard you said that it costed you 5 euro from the hotel to the train station!!! that's a lot!!! as a foreigner you gotta be careful with taxi drivers in Tangiers. it won't cost you more than 2~3 euro to take the longest distance in Tangiers (city)
I know. Twice I paid €4, once I paid €1 by meter when I shared taxi with other 2 lots of passengers. The rest paid €5. It's difficult to pay fair prices as foreigners. Thanks for concern
@@koalavlog9961 there's always an electronic counter in all taxis in Morocco. 10 dh = one dollar. you gotta be careful next time. or make Moroccan friends this well help you a lot

Morocco's bullet train, known as the Al Boraq, is a significant milestone in the country's transportation infrastructure and the first high-speed rail service in Africa. Here are some key points about Al Boraq: Introduction and Inauguration: The Al Boraq high-speed train service was inaugurated on November 15, 2018, by King Mohammed VI of Morocco and French President Emmanuel Macron. The name "Al Boraq" refers to the mythical creature in Islamic tradition that transported the Prophet Muhammad, symbolizing speed and efficiency. Route and Speed: The Al Boraq train operates between the cities of Tangier and Casablanca, covering a distance of approximately 323 kilometers (201 miles). It reduces travel time between Tangier and Casablanca from around 5 hours to just over 2 hours, with speeds reaching up to 320 km/h (200 mph). Technology and Collaboration: The project was a collaboration between Morocco and France, with significant contributions from the French railway company SNCF and engineering firm Alstom. The trains used are based on Alstom's TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) technology, which is renowned for its reliability and performance. Infrastructure and Investment: The construction of the high-speed rail line involved building new tracks specifically designed for high-speed travel, as well as modernizing existing railway infrastructure. The project cost approximately $2.4 billion, funded by a combination of Moroccan government funds, loans, and international financial support, including from France, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Economic and Social Impact: Al Boraq is expected to boost economic development by improving connectivity between key economic hubs and promoting tourism in the region. The project has created numerous jobs and is anticipated to enhance the overall efficiency of the Moroccan transport network. Future Expansion: Morocco has plans to expand its high-speed rail network further, with potential future lines connecting Casablanca to Marrakech and eventually extending towards Agadir. These expansions aim to further reduce travel times and improve regional integration within the country. Environmental Benefits: High-speed trains like Al Boraq are more environmentally friendly compared to traditional rail or road transport, helping reduce carbon emissions and traffic congestion. Al Boraq is a landmark project for Morocco, demonstrating the country's commitment to modernizing its infrastructure and embracing advanced transportation technologies.

If you have a video of the taxi driver or taxi number please share that video
I don't have videos for taxi. Normally better negotiate fee before getting on taxi, if use meters much cheaper but for foreigners drivers ask more, however taxi not expensive €5 less than 5km distance such as to go hotel from station
مرحبا بكم 😘🙏
