Relaxing walk around a small island in Bergen, Norway (4K/60fps)

A few minutes from downtown Bergen, this public park on a small island is only accessible by boat. Part outdoor museum, rec area, yacht club, with areas for swimming, bbq, and docks for boats. It's all open for the public, but remember to shut any gates behind you, as sheep roam freely. There are also a variety of birds in Eidsvåg bay, (angry) seagulls, oystercatchers, crows and more.
This walk was unplanned, so it's all hand held mobile phone. I apologize for the quality.
Also learning how to use Davinci Resolve after leaving the "creative cloud"

Pls tell me when is the best hour to drive this route. Early mornings or late afternoons, to avoid heavy traffic or buses. When does the cruise crowd start? Will be there next month, and from your video I feel so stressful driving along the narrow road😢

We did it in June. Was OK. Most roads are closed till early June, like Loen to Trollstigen

My mother was born in Bergen and grew up on Skansemyren. She came to America in 1954. She is really enjoying this video

Why would anyone move from Norway to the U.S.? Just curious.
@@jorggenbrekke1567 geez. We’re really not sure. A lot of reasons. She was born in 1935, so her life was about the depression and war. Her father died young, of cancer. My grandmother was kind of hard to deal with. She said she was always jealous of the people at the train station who got to come and go. She lived in a port town, so that made her curious about the world. It all worked out. Mom was very proud to be both Norwegian and a naturalized American citizen. She was married for 55 years until my father passed away. Ironically she saw much more of her home country as an American than she was able to see before she emigrated. She traveled widely and living all over the United States and in Panama for 12 years, where my father was a canal pilot. She came all alone but she left behind many many of us who cherish her memory.

@@norwaywalker6153 I just noticed your reply. Thanks. I saw that I posted that comment ten months ago. At that time, my mother was passing away, and I was trying to keep her comfortable and at peace. Being able to show her videos of places in her past was wonderful, and I am grateful for you and others who made it possible for her to walk around her home town one last time. She really enjoyed it. Jeg har besøktBergen bare fire ganger, men håper å komme igjen snart. (And I’ve ridden Fløybanen every time because of course I have.)
