    i don't get it. so cutting boards are wood and are typically square and part of a counter top. Knives are sharp and pointy and made out of metal. so if the knife is made out of wood and can't be used for it's typical purpose wouldn't it be a wood statue?

    I watched your original and now this. Thanks for the reviews. I just purchased this exact same helmet / color scheme. It'll be my first SHOEI after hearing a lot of good things about them and this specific helmet. Hopefully I don't have any of the gripes you talk about in your video. Should have the helmet by the end of the week and I'm now even more anxious to try it out. I saw online you can get thicker replacement pads for it which I planned to do if it ever feels loose. We'll see how I like it.

    You posted this a little over a year ago and I was wondering what your thoughts were about summer riding in that jacket/pant combo? I live in GA but like to travel all over east coast and do run into all types of weather. I’d think the waterproof liner would make it run very hot and would need to be removed most of the time. To me, seems cumbersome on a day where the weather is not predictable. Any plans for a follow up review? Thanks!

    • @montrussell
      @montrussell Год назад

      Yes, I am going to do a follow-up review. I did not ride with it last summer at all, so I am going to ride in it this year. The waterproof liner will definitely have to come out during the summer, most likely even when it is raining. I wore it on a hot day a couple of weeks ago and it was warmer than my fully ventilated jacket,but I found a cool hack to get more air flow into the jacket and it was comfortable. More experiments to come.

    Great video! You got guts! To take a chance and dye them. Would you wear jeans underneath or is it meant to also replace pants? Can the be used for warmer weather riding as well? I saw your review of the jacket and is it a four season jacket or just meant for fall winter? I am not familiar with Rev it products. Why did you select Rev it over Alpinestars? Finally what kind of bike are you riding in with this gear? Adventure touring or commuting? The jacket and pants are they good for just every day riding or just long distance touring? Thanks

    • @montrussell
      @montrussell Год назад

      Yes, when I put them in the hot liquid, I definitely had some anxiety. I don't wear jeans underneath but I usually wear a base layer on. The inside of the pants doesn't feel bad, I get rub spots on my knees without a base layer on. Warmer weather yes, full summer in Houston, TX no. I have to have a full breathable jacket as well. I went with Rev it because I have heard and seen great things about them and they plan adjustability really well. I ride a Harley Davidson sportster 883, I go on long rides, I work from home, so I don't have a commute, week long and weekend trips, and the liners have saved my butt! I use it on daily shorter rides as well as longer ones.

      @@p-dub7422 Yes, they work just as well. Good vents, good liners, I don't wear when it gets hotter though. I found I had to buy one size larger than normal. Usually I wear a 32, and I had to buy a 34 to get over my hips, and the waist is just a bit big.
