I don’t know why a 7 minute cadenza even means, but yes.
We did this in college, and I was honored to play the lower percussion part (right side of screen for viewers). The lady who played the lead marimba part had placed high (won? Don’t recall) the DCI solo and ensemble competition. You all seemed to be having a blast with this, and everyone nailed it! I could see the story being told!
Amazing!!!!!! That’s too fabulous, really good performance that I never saw. Now when I heard the song always think about your solo!

Amazing, it gives the impression that the beaters are falling by gravity onto the marimba rather than being 'struck'! Love the colour contrast of the other instruments too!
