4:36 Completing the Square is important because factoring method only works for rational solutions and the quadratic formula would not exist without the Completing the Square. The Quadratic Formula IS completing the square, it's just a shortcut where the square has already been completed for ax^2+bx+c=0. I prefer the quadratic formula for solving solutions but completing the square is necessary in other applications (it's a more versatile skill).
