Hi there! I'm called K-J and I am very interested in clocks and grandfather clocks. When I was 5-years old I got interested in my grandmother's clocks, and since then I'm hooked on these beautiful and unique clocks. Today, I've got about 30+ clocks in my collection. I'm hoping to purchase another clock soon!

I have a custom made Dold grandfather clock, It's still working great,and it's my pleasure to own it.I have had it for20 years.
Nice that you have one to. Unfortuantely have Dold ended up with their production. My clock is also working great n I have had it for 13 years, it´s a Kieninger movement with automatic night shut off. Thank you for watching. Best Regards / K-J
The second song is "Die Forelle" (The Trout) by Franz Schubert (1797-1828). It also plays on my Samsung washing machine.

I think this clock chime is a bit too slow.
Okay, that's your opinion, BUT it works perfectly, this is how its supposed to be.

I have one of these but the chime doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas on why, and perhaps if you know why there is a small string hanging out of the hole in the bottom?
Hi, it's probably the chime rods? It's inside the clock itself. Is it possible for you to send me a photo of your clock? It's hard for me to understand only from your text.
It's an acoustic membrane in the clock, and it's not supposed to be hanging outside of it at all!
I just thought about that your clock might have a manual night shut off? So take a look at that first! Cheers!

cuckoo call and music not fast and an unusual tune I've not heard before. Really nice and presumably 8-day?
I would say 5 or 6 days, IF you'd like 8-days, then you'd have to place the clock really, really high up on the wall, almost in the roof.

Unique sound from.these chime rods. My movement is also a Hermle triple but its a basic version with manual night silence and seconds indication. It's very badly damaged as has never run in 18 years. Regards
I bought the Clock in 2015, the Clock is from 1987 said the owner before me. Regards

Yes, it is. I bought the Clock "new" 2010 in a clockstore.

This cannot be from 2008. The latest grandfather clock I’ve seen was from 2004.

Are those grandfather clocks hard to find my grandma had one that was a aisan carved but sadly they don't sell them anymore...I don't know where to find one at
