That’s a good release. When I was a kid fishing river ponds, we would release them about 20 yards up the bank, and toss them back in when we were done fishing and they’d just swim off after 2-3 minutes of being back in the water. And we’d catch the same ones again the next day. Tough little guys, like a gar.

Damn that is a big dogfish. Catch a lot big ones fishing for pike on live minnows but that is definitely one of the bigger ones I’ve ever seen.
