We Paddled the Pine River! There were RAPIDS!
We took a little two day trip down the Pine River starting at Skookum and ending at Low Bridge. As far as we could tell the river was higher than usual.
Paddle boarding was a fun way to experience the river! Aaron stood up the whole time! I didn’t have the confidence to attempt to stand, but still enjoyed it.
Three things:
1. At 15:06 I should have said “hours” not “miles.” Those are two totally different things.
2. I know I am using my paddle incorrectly unfortunately it doesn’t get short enough for me to use it correctly while I’m sitting, so I did what I could. (My old one was short enough, but it’s at the bottom of our lake. 😭)
3. We saw a few ospreys and eagles, but I didn’t get any video...

We COMPLETED the SIDING On Our House! 🏡
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.Месяц назад
Would you side your house with black siding? Custom bent siding is the way to go! We love how the color and the board & batten helps the house blend into the woods. This is one of the first projects where we were actually installing the finished product, not something that would just be hidden later. I had a lot of fun with this (since I enjoy siding.) #buildingourownhouse #dreamhouse #themasts...
Super EASY Standing Seam Roof System! We Installed it OURSELVES!

(Plus everything we had to do before the roof went on…) Our goal was to have a COMPLETELY hidden fastener system. This meant before we put the roof on we had to do A LOT of other steps. In the end this system should be completely water tight, so it was definitely worth it! We had help here and there on the soffit, fascia, gutters, and roof, so thankful for that! Everything that has to do with the basement (footers, pea gravel, under pad foam, concrete walls, cement deck, egress well, pad, rebar, etc) was $52000. Just the setting of the forms, labor, and cement for walls and deck was $37000 of the $52000. It could have been quite a lot cheaper but we chose to do a suspended deck which made it a lot more expensive.
