I have a magnificent Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 van with a 1.3 liter m13a petrol engine from 2001 that I use on mountain forest roads and on dirt farm roads and on gravel and broken scree. I use it to transport agricultural equipment and for me the Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 remains the best off-road 4x4 due to its compact size compared to large 4x4 off-road vehicles

Hi . I am going to do that route in August . Will i make it on fuel from Lephephe to Rakops to refuel ? WHere do i obtain permits for this cutline ?

I really like your simple setup. Just like you, I am not really a big fan of canopies too, and would prefer a retractable bakkie bin cover with bed rack on top. I however doubt if my 42L Snomaster fridge which stands at around 750mm H can be accommodated under most bin covers. Just out of interest, how do you keep your loadbin items safe from elements like dust, rain and obviously prying eyes?

Love this setup ( and off course the channel ) I think this setup for 2 people on a Xtra Cab Toyota would be great. Then all the stuff on the roof could also be placed behind the cab which would help with aerodynamics and fuel consumption. What is your thoughts on that please ? Keep safe and enjoy the bush..
